More for Antonius

Nível 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

We didn't see how it went down, but Patrik Antonius had {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} in front of him in a battle of the blinds on a board of {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts}. An opponent in the big blind was exiting his seat as the dealer swept up his {q-}{6-}, and Antonius collected his stack, which looked to be around 30,000. From the sound of the chatter at the table, it seemed the money likely went in on the flop.

Klatt Enters With a Bang

Nível 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

Earlier today, Andreas Klatt lifted the trophy in the National Championship, one of the side events here in Monaco. Klatt outlasted 1,251 other players to claim a whopping €151,445, not too shabby compared to his original investment of €1,100.

Not satisfied yet, Klatt instantly jumped in the Main Event and ran his starting stack up to 80,000 within an hour.

Allain and Badziakouski Battle in Blinds

Jan Bendik - Adrien Allain Heads Up EPT12 Grand Final
Jan Bendik - Adrien Allain Heads Up EPT12 Grand Final

Last year's EPT Grand Final runner-up Adrien Allain, who cashed an astonishing €577,800 for finishing second, saw a flop in the blinds against Mikita Badziakouski, who busted the €50,000 Single Day High-Roller earlier today.

After some preflop raising and reraising, the pot was already up to 12,000 with action on Badziakouski. On a {Q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop, the Bulgarian bet 3,000 and Allain check-called quickly. Both players checked the {Q-Diamonds} on the turn and {10-Diamonds} on the river.

Allain showed {K-Spades}{J-Spades} for the rivered king-high straight and Badziakouski mucked his hand.

Sebastian Malec
Sebastian Malec

EPT13 Barcelona Main Event winner Sebastian Malec has been trending up for the past hour. In one of the hands, Malec entered a three-way pot from the blinds, then check-raised a 2,000 bet to 5,000 on a {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop. Both opponents quickly folded their hands to move Malec up to 55,000.

Antonius Holds for Piles

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Patrik Antonius

Patrik Antonius is pushing for the chip lead after winning a huge pot.

We picked up action after what appeared to be an early open and two calls, followed by a big blind three-bet to 3,600. Everyone called, and it went four ways to {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Action checked to the opener, who bet 8,000. Antonius called, the small blind called, and the big blind pushed all in for about 33,000. The opener mucked, and Antonius reshoved, forcing a fold from the third player.

Antonius: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}
Big blind: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Antonius had flopped two pair but had a bunch of cards to dodge when the {10-Diamonds} turn gave his opponent a straight draw. The river brought a safe {6-Clubs} for Antonius.

Hallaert's Kicker Wins

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Kenny Hallaert bet 2,500 into a pot of about 6,000 after an early-position opponent checked to him on {3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}. Hallaert's opponent thought a long while and called, and both ended up checking the {6-Spades}. The first player showed {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, but Hallaert's kicker played with {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}.
