Lin Over 100k

Nível 6 : 250/500, 75 ante
Celina Lin
Celina Lin

Celina Lin opened the action with a raise to 1,300. Denes Kalo called, before Francois Evard popped it to 5,000 on the button. Lin four-bet to 12,800, Kalo got out, Evard shoved around 45,000 and Lin called.

Celina Lin: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Francois Evard: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}

Lin was in great shape to take the almost 100k pot down and remained ahead after the board ran out {3-Hearts}{2-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{4-Spades}. The Team PokerStars Pro launched herself to 115,000, Evard was eliminated.

No Love for Lamouroux

Nível 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

At the start of the hand, one of the cards of Craig Varnell flipped over and a ten was exposed. Then, a raise to 1,600 picked up three callers and Tony Lamouroux three-bet to 7,500 in the small blind. Only Alexandre Moreau called and the flop came {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. Lamouroux continued for 7,500 and then called all in when Moreau put him to the rest.

Tony Lamouroux: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Alexandre Moreau: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

The {6-Spades} turn let Lamouroux gasp a "no no no" and he was eliminated after the blank {9-Diamonds} river. Moreau's two outer sent his stack up to 80,000 while Varnell has slightly more than that.

From Terrible to Magnifique

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

After an under-the-gun open and a Sergio Aido call, Jean-Noel Thorel jammed on the button for 6,725. Opener Dmitry Yurasov reshoved, and Aido mucked.

Thorel: {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Yurasov: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

"Oh!" a player said. "Terrible!"

The board came {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}, meaning Thorel had a better chance to chop than actually win the pot. However, the river was the {9-Spades}.

"C'est bon!" Thorel's neighbor now said. "Magnifique!"

Cody Finished

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Jake Cody couldn't run it back up. The PokerStars Team Pro got it in for his remaining 4,525 in the cutoff and received a call from the small blind. The big blind reshoved, and the small blind folded with a sigh.

Cody: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}
Big blind: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The board ran out {4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}, and Cody wished everyone good luck.

Stone Cold Varnell

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Craig Varnell, always easy to spot due to his inseparable orange Denver Broncos cap, showed some of his poker prowess in a hand that left his tablemates in bewilderment. After a raise to 1,500 in middle position, Varnell made the call from the cutoff. On the button, a player reraised to 6,200, the initial raiser folded and Varnell quickly called again.

The flop was {8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Varnell check-called a bet of 5,200. On the {K-Diamonds} turn, Varnell checked, the button bet 8,500, Varnell check-raised to 21,100 and got called, which left the player on the button with just 9,600 behind.

The river was the {10-Spades} and Varnell flicked in a couple of T-5,000 chips to put his opponent to the test. After already committing the majority of his stack, the player on the button elected to fold his hand on the final card.

To the table's surprise, Varnell slammed open {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} for just a pair of fours and casually raked in the pot.

Capitan Drops Two Pots

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

After a raise to 900, Anatoly Korochenskiy moved in for his last 4,850 and Bogdan Capitan called on the button, while the rest of the table folded.

Anatoly Korochenskiy: {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Bogdan Capitan: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Hearts} and the Russian doubled.

Then, Besiana Antoni raised to 900 and Capitan three-bet to 2,500. Adrian Mateos four-bet to 6,400 in the cutoff and that chased everyone away except for Capitan, who tossed in the extra chips. The flop came {7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Capitan checked, Mateos continued for 4,600 and was called. On the {9-Spades} turn, Capitan checked again and Mateos bet 40,000.

Capitan had just over half of that left behind and elected to fold after some consideration.

Muratovic and Yan Among Next Casualties

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Several of the early big stacks have plummeted in the counts and fell down to starting stack or even below that. As for [Removed:17] and Elvin Muratovic, they are done for the day and may jump in one of the several side events still.

Delgado Decimates Cody

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Jake Cody
Jake Cody

Team PokerStars Pro Jake Cody had to part with 90% of his stack after a massive clash with Vicente Delgado. With the board reading {Q-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, Cody had checked to his adversary. Delgado went all in for 40,875 total, an overbet to the 35,000 pot.

Cody tanked for several minutes and eventually made the call with {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} for just second pair. It was a brave hero-call from the Brit, but Delgado held {4-Clubs}{4-Spades} for the turned set of fours to launch himself up the leaderboard. After the dust had settled, Cody was left with just 12 big blinds.
