Foxen Doubles Through Mordvinov

Nível 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen

Alex Foxen finally got the double-up he needed, courtesy of Aleksandr Mordvinov. After Michal Mrakes had raised to 85,000 from under the gun, Mordvinov reraised to 345,000 from the small blind, Foxen shoved 580,000 from the big blind and Mrakes got out of the way.

Mordvivov asked for a count and soon realized he wasn't going anywhere.

Alex Foxen: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
Aleksandr Mordvinov: {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}

The {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} board ran out safe for Foxen to put him at 1,270,000.

Sow Drags Heaps From Mrakes

Nível 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Kalidou Sow
Kalidou Sow

Michal Mrakes' Day 5 has been nothing short of terrible thus far, and the Czech just lost another big pot to lose the chip lead as well. It was Kalidou Sow who opened to 80,000 under the gun, Mrakes called on the button and Robert Heidorn defended from the big blind.

The flop was {6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and both Heidorn and Sow checked. Mrakes bet 150,000, Heidorn folded and Sow called. The turn was the {2-Spades} and Sow check-called 250,000 from Mrakes.

On the {J-Spades} river, Sow was done checking. He lead out 650,000, leaving himself with 260,000 behind, and Mrakes called. Sow showed {A-Spades}{7-Spades} for the backdoor nut flush and Mrakes had to muck his hand.

Two for Foxen

Nível 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Although Alex Foxen is still on thin ice stack-wise, the American picked up two pots in quick succession for some extra chips. First, he defended against a button raise from Kalidou Sow. The {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop went check/check and Foxen took it with a bet on the turn.

Two hands after, Foxen shoved on the button and picked up the blinds and antes.

Wheeler Takes the Betting Lead

Nível 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Colin Robinson raised to 90,000 from the cutoff and Jason Wheeler defended his big blind. Wheeler opted to lead out for 115,000 on the {5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop and Robinson called. Wheeler continued with 275,000 on the {2-Hearts} turn and Robinson called once again.

The {6-Hearts} on the river went check/check. Wheeler showed {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for sixes and fives and Robinson mucked.

Chip Counts After Level 24 (Completo)

Nível 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Serhii Popovych Eliminated in 14th Place (€38,400)

Nível 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Serhii Popovych
Serhii Popovych

Down to his last 540,000, Serhii Popovych moved all in from under the gun. The action folded all the way around to Kalidou Sow, who checked his cards and called instantly right after.

Serhii Popovych: {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Kalidou Sow: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}

Popovych could all but sigh and smile about his unfortunate timing and the board ran out {5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds} to send him to the rail in 14th place for €38,400. All remaining 13 players are now guaranteed at least €42,600 for their efforts.

Heidorn Takes from Foxen

Nível 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Alex Foxen raised to 70,000 and Robert Heidorn in the big blind asked "How much do you play?" when the action was on him. Foxen replied with "A little under 600" and Heidorn called after that. The flop fell {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Heidorn checked. Foxen continued for 75,000 and Heidorn check-raised to 185,000.

After a brief starting contest, Foxen sent his cards into the muck and was the far shortest stack once again.
