Roy Escapes Elimination

Nível 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

Holding {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}, Jonathan Roy found himself at risk in a three-way preflop all-in situation. Roy was up against Elvis Petcu with {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and Amir Touma, who held {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}.

After the {7-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop and {2-Hearts} turn, Touma was in prime position to knock both players out, holding the bigger stack. However, the {K-Clubs} on the river kept all three players in: Roy tripled up with the shortest stack, while Petcu snatched the side pot from Touma.

Beresford Cooked

Nível 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

Conor Beresford opened for 1,100 and got three-bet to about 3,000 by the player on the button. Beresford shoved all in for around 12,000 and the cards were on their backs moments later.

Beresford: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Button: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, which had Beresford patting the table softly after the flop.

"Good luck, guys," he said.

Big Slick Works for Konopelko

Nível 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

We didn't see how the money went in, but Andrei Konopelko called a big all-in shove worth about 15,000 on an {8-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{k-Diamonds} flop holding {a-}{k-}.

"Oops," his opponent said cheerfully enough before Konopelko even showed, knowing {a-}{q-} was no good.

The turn was a {6-Hearts} and the river brought paint for a brief sweat but the {j-Hearts} was a brick.

Zarco Bluffs Off to Akenhead

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Jake Cody (L) and James Akenhead
Jake Cody (L) and James Akenhead

James Akenhead checked an {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop, and Javier Zarco bet 1,350 on his left. The two were in middle position. Akenhead called the bet and they checked the {9-Clubs} to see the {7-Diamonds} river. Akenhead checked again and Zarco bet 6,200. Akenhead called and Zarco revealed {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for a bluff, mucking when Akenhead showed {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.

Farrell Concedes

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Kiryl Radzivonau opened for 1,000 in middle position and called a three-bet to 3,200 from Niall Farrell, in the cutoff. Both players checked the flop for a board of {6-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{2-Hearts}. Radzivonau bet 3,600 and Farrell called. Radvizonau fired 8,800 on the {j-Spades} river. Farrell grimaced and mucked his cards in short order.

Maimone Shows One

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Checked to on the river by the small blind with {2-Hearts}{j-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{a-Clubs} on the felt, Nick Maimone fired in 10,500 from late position. The pot was swollen to over 25,000 before that bet, and his opponent wound up folding. Maimone mucked but reached in and turned over the {k-Spades}.

He remains one of the heftier stacks in the room.
