Hallaert Busts Ferreira

Nível 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Rui Neves Ferreira got his last 32,000 or so in from the cutoff with {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} but was dominated by the {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} held by small blind Kenny Hallaert. A jack-free board meant curtains for Ferreira.

Thomas Muehloecker was right behind him on the way to the door after busting at a neighboring table.

Peters Busts Talbot

Nível 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

When we walked past table 4, seat 1 was empty while David Peters in the 2-seat had a way bigger stack than the last time we checked. Peters was kind enough to tell us what had happened when we asked him.

Ivan Luca opened the button for a min raise and small blind Parker Talbot and big blind David Peters both called.

The flop came {3-}{4-}{5-} with two hearts and Talbot checked. Peters lead for 7,500 and Luca called before Talbot squeezed to 37,000 with 70,000 behind. Peters shoved, Luca folded, Talbot called.

Parker Talbot: {9-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
David Peters: {7-}{6-}

The turn and river both blanked for Talbot and he exited the tournament room while Peters started stacking.

Mateos Over Pollak; Thorel Crushing Early

Nível 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Adrian Mateos bet 38,000 from the big blind, which looked to be over the size of the pot, on a completed board of {4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. Benjamin Pollak was his lone opponent in the cutoff, and the French player let out a deep sigh and counted out calling chips. They represented about half of his remaining stack and he placed them in the middle.

Mateos showed {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a flush.

At the neighboring table, Jean-Noel Thorel appears to be rocketing into the early chip lead as he's surpassed 400K.

Kitai Five-Bet Ships

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Davidi Kitai opened in middle position to 4,500 and got three-bet by the next player to 15,000. Ryan Riess made it a cold four to 38,500 in the small blind and Kitai moved all in for 132,200. That won him the pot and he moved to muck. Riess tried to stop him but it was too late.

"I'd have given you like $1,000 bucks if you showed anything besides aces," Riess said.

Talley's Aggression Chases Martinez

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

In what looked like a three-bet pot with over 40,000 in the middle preflop, Caufman Talley bet 20,000 from the big blind on a {7-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop. Raul Martinez called on the button and both checked the {3-Clubs}. The river was a {6-Hearts} and Talley bet 60,000. Martinez folded almost immediately.

Peters Bad Beats Ustimov

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
David Peters
David Peters

From middle position, Ivan Luca opened for 4,500 and David Peters called from the cutoff. On the button, Viktor Ustimov started tanking. When the clock struck zero, he used a time bank to get another half minute. With just 1 second to go, he moved in for 47,000.

The blinds folded right away and Luca asked for a count. He needed a lot of time but eventually folded.

Peters needed even more time, using a time bank card before eventually calling.

David Peters: {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}
Viktor Ustimov: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}

"It's always aces," Orpen Kisacikoglu said about Ustimov tanking and then shipping.

"So obvious!" Parker Talbot added.

The flop came {5-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{K-Hearts} helping Peters in front. The {5-Spades} on the turn made things even better for him and Ustimov got up and never even saw the {2-Clubs} on the river.

"That felt very premeditated," Talbot continued as Ustimov was already out the door.

McEathron Uses Two Time Banks

Nível 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Ryan McEathron checked a board of {q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} from the big blind and faced a bet of 21,500, about a third of the pot, from Viliyan Petleshkov on the button. McEathron fired in a time bank and eventually called. On the {3-Spades} river, he checked and Petleshkov jammed. It was 80,800 and McEathron needed more time once again. This time, he folded.
