Raffaele Sorrentino scooped a pot uncontested by over betting the river of a board that showed a straight and then saw Yaron Zeev Malki limp from under the gun. Sorrentino raised to 180,000 and Malki called.
After the flop, Malki checked and Sorrentino bet 155,000. Malki was having none of it and check-raised to 380,000. Sorrentino double-checked his cards twice, the stack of his opponent once, and eventually folded.
Andre Akkari raised to 110,000 and Hugo Gomes Andrade defended his big blind. On a flop of , Andrade checked and called a bet worth 125,000 before the turn was cecked.
The appeared on the river and Andrade checked once more. Akkari bet 210,000 and Andrade took a long time before calling, then mucked when Akkari showed for a turned pair of queens as winning hand.
Brian Kaufman Esposito raised to 110,000 from early position and Tsugunari Toma defended the big blind. On the flop and the turn both players checked. Toma bet the river for 225,000 and Kaufman called.
"You call?" Toma verified and then rolled over for trips sixes to claim the pot.
Usman Siddique opened the button for 115,000 and big blind Lachezar Plamenov Petkov called. Both of them checked the flop of . Petkov then bet the turn (80,000) and river (255,000). Siddique called both times but could not beat Petkov's .
On the outer table, Yaron Zeev Malki raised to 140,000 and Heorhii Doroshev moved all in from the small blind to force a fold.
The feature table provided a battle of the blinds between Donald Duarte Sierra and Mauricio Salazar Sanchez. On the flop, Duarte bet 130,000 and Salazar called before doing so again for 225,000 on the turn. Duarte then shoved the river for 1,575,000, which had Salazar covered by far.
The Day 1a chip leader gave it plenty of time and folded.
The last 20 players have been sent into a break of as many minutes and will play one more level or until the last two tables are set, whichever of the two comes first.
With only 2 seconds left in the level, the dealer started a shuffle and so one last hand was played while players from other tables were already enjoying their break.
Niek Minten opened under the gun plus one on the 7-handed table. Usman Siddique in the cutoff 3-bet to 275,000 and action folded back around to Minten. He 4-bet shoved for what looked like 1.3 million and Siddique called.

The flop wasn't helping Minten much but the on the turn gave him some outs. The on the river, however, wasn't one of them and Minten exited in 21st place for €45,000.

Raffaele Sorrentino moved in once and then raised to 100,000 the next hand to steal the blinds and antes twice. Kent Roed raised to 100,000 twice in a row to pick up the blinds once and then see Sorrentino call in the big blind the second hand.
On the flop both players checked and the fell on the turn. Sorrentino bet 110,000 and was called before checking the river. Roed moved all in and Sorrentino was the player at risk for 695,000. He tanked for quite some time and Roed tapped the table, then said "I ask for time."
The clock ran down to five seconds when Sorrentino called and Roed tabled for king-high while Sorrentino doubled with for two pair.
The next hand, Roed was forced all in for 35,000 in the big blind and Brian Kaufman Esposito raised to 80,000. Nick Petrangelo three-bet to 240,000 and Kaufman moved all in to force a fold from Petrangelo.
