Bad Start for Anna Yamshchikova

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Some 8,300 chips on the river of a queen-high board with three spades are gone with Anna Yamshchikova having rivered a straight with {A-}{K-}. Her opponent had {K-Spades}{7-Spades} for a flush and claimed the pot.

Soon after, Yamshchikova lost another small pot after giving up on an ace-high river when facing a raise to 2,125, and the stack of the Russian has already melted by one third.

EDDY Pays Off Markvorsen

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

On the thee-way turn of {10-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Spades}{J-Hearts}, EDDY checked in the small blind and Morten Moller Markvorsen bet 1,225 from under the gun into a pot of around 2,200. The third player in the hand folded and EDDY called. He then checked the {A-Diamonds} river and Markvorsen bet another 3,000.

EDDY gave it some consideration and called only to see Markvorsen flip over {A-Spades}{K-Spades} for the flopped nut flush.

Vadzim Lipauka Wins Two in a Row

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

With a pot of around 3,000 heading to the {K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{4-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} turn, Rudolf Henry Hein checked in the small blind and Vadizm Lipauka bet 1,400 from under the gun. Hein check-raised to 3,000 and was called by Lipauka before both then checked the {4-Hearts} river.

Hein turned over {Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Lipauka scooped the pot with {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}.

One hand later, another interesting hand developed with Lipauka involved out of the big blind. Now it was on him to check-raise the {J-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{A-Spades} river from 1,000 to 3,800. His table neighbor "Dirty Harry" whispered some words along the lines of "runner runner?" but called. Sure enough, Lipauka turned over the {Q-Spades}{9-Spades} for a flush and that won the pot.

Patrick Wolff First Casualty and First Reentry

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

"I really like the event," Patrick Wolff said at the start of Day 1b. Just now though, he walked away from the table and the dealer shortly after announced a seat open. "I lost two stupid hands and then bluffed and ran into a set," Wolff added. The remainder of his stack went to "Izzitreallyd", who is off to a great start.

Wolff already said that he will be back shortly and walked back in one minute later.

Is it Really Izzitreallyd Again?

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Izzitreallyd was barely done stacking his chips when the dealer announced a second seat open, and once again on his table. A wide grin on the face, Izzitreallyd then said "I flopped a flush and he had a set, it went in after the turn." That brings up his stack to almost three times the initial amount with less than an hour played.

Claudia and Roman Volf in Action

Nível 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Claudia and Roman Volf made the trip to Rozvadov from Austria to take advantage of the PokerNews Cup festival and are both taking part on Day 1b. While Roman is up so far, Claudia is somewhat struggling with half the starting stack.

She faced a raise to 600 by the hijack and the cutoff and Jimmy in the small blind called, as did Volf in the big blind. The flop came {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and the action checked to the initial raiser, who bet 1,300. Jimmy and Volf called, then all three checked the {A-Diamonds} turn. After the {3-Hearts} river, Jimmy bet 2,200 and that won the pot uncontested.

Antonio Quarta Starts Well

Nível 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Antonio Quarta is among those players to have already eliminated an opponent. The Italian flopped two pair with {4-Clubs}{3-Spades} to send short stack Rudolf Henry Hein to the rail and soon after had a bet of 4,000 on the {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{4-Diamonds} paid off by Dirty Harry. Quarta showed {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and that won the pot, as Dirty Harry mucked.

Nível 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Alexander Mikhalev ended a roller coaster Day 1a on the rail after being a big stack early on and the Russian is back at it again today, sharing a table with Tony Veille and Thomas Zurek also arrived there as well.

Veille was involved in a three-bet hand in a battle small blind versus button and bet the {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop for 1,000. The player on the button called and Veille then bet 1,000 on the {6-Spades} turn again. His opponent called and did so again for the same amount on the {7-Diamonds} turn. Veille showed {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} as winning hand.

One hand later, Mikhalev raised to 600 from early position and picked up four callers. After the {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{10-Hearts} flop, the action checked to him and Mikhalev took down the pot with a continuation bet worth 1,500.
