Nível 9 : 0/0, 8,000 ante
Brian Green
Brian Green

Brian Green limped in first to act, as did Nick Schulman from the cutoff.Jason Koon raised his button to 75,000 and Green called as Schulman folded.

The flop landed {8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Spades} and Green checked to Koon who pushed out a stack of 25,000-denomination chips to effectively put Green all in. Green called for his last 207,000, and the cards were tabled.

Green: {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Koon: {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The turn and river landed the {8-Hearts} and {A-Spades}, and Green was eliminated for the final table in Event #4.

Nível 8 : 0/0, 6,000 ante

Brian Green was all in for about 160,000 from under the gun when we arrived, with Jason Koon calling on the button.

"I have a big hand," Koon said.

"I don't, but whatever," Green replied.

Koon: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Green: {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and Koon hit a straight on the river to lock it in.

A Mirage

Nível 8 : 0/0, 6,000 ante

Dylan Wilkerson shoved over a couple of limps. It folded back to Dan Shak on his right and Shak thought awhile, sighed and flashed {k-Spades}{q-Spades} as he folded.

Afterward, the players discussed short deck strategy and equities a bit, with Maurice Hawkins expressing some surprise at the fold. Wilkerson confirmed even most dominated hands are around 70-30 in short deck.

"Well, it looks better than it is," Shak said. "Being suited doesn't really help that much, it's a mirage."

"Why doesn't it help?"

"Because flushes don't really come in."

Katz Can't Improve Against Ligeri

Katz: {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Ligeri: {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The turn and river landed the {8-Diamonds} and {6-Hearts}, and Katz was eliminated but instantly used his add-on plaque.

Koon Forces Two Reentries

Nível 8 : 0/0, 6,000 ante

Three players were all in when we got to Jason Koon's table, with Koon having {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades} in front of him, having flopped the nut straight. Koray Aldemir had {q-}{j-} and Ryan Tosoc {a-}{j-} and the board ran out clean for Koon.

From the sound of the chatter after the hand, it seemed Koon limped and called after Tosoc and Aldemir shoved preflop. Both busted players headed to the window to reenter.
