Tournament Director Paul Campbell has explained to the players that play will continue through the completion of level 16 (8,000/16,000) or until one more player is eliminated.
With play ending early on Day 1, there was always a risk that once a final table was reached, getting to a winner on the final day could take longer then expected. Consequently the ARIA staff and the TV production crew have decided to continue play tonight to help reduce the chances of an extremely long Day 3.
