Many notable high-rollers joined the PLO streets, and some who weren't as fortunate to find a bag included Cary Katz, Cliff Josephy, Ben Lamb, and EPT champion Jason Mercier.
With 16 levels of play on Day 1, there was no shortage of action. Josephy started the day with a decent run of cards but fell short of making a deep run when he ran his combo draw into the two pair for Robert Cowen and couldn’t find improvement.
Later on, Sean Winter joined the field but couldn’t get much going early on. He found himself on a short stack and would hit the rail when his flush draw and straight draw didn’t hit against the aces for Shaun Deeb.
The final ten will return to their seats on Sunday, where the blinds will resume on Level 17 at 3,000/6,000. The 40-minute levels will continue, with 15-minute breaks after every three until a new PCA champion is crowned.
Stay tuned to PokerNews for our continuous live reporting all the way through the final hand and the next trophy being handed out here in The Bahamas.
