Roberts Eliminated by Sow

Nível 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Kalidou Sow
Kalidou Sow

A big pot was brewing over on table one, filled with notables from all over the world, and it was Lauren Roberts in the big blind that moved all in for 13,900 on the {J-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} turn. Kalidou Sow snap-called and the cards were tabled.

Lauren Roberts: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Kalidou Sow: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The {4-Spades} river further improved Sow to a full house and Roberts said "Only a full house, nice hand. I was hoping for ace-jack."

Koray Aldemir said "good game Lauren" in table chat and Sow, who sat down not long ago, immediately doubled his stack. In French, Sow explained after that his raise from early position was called four-ways and Roberts three-bet, which just Sow called. Roberts bet the flop for 12,000 and jammed the turn.

Michaelis Missing; Eiler Thriving

Nível 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Andreas Eiler
Andreas Eiler

While Andreas Eiler has had a rocky start, he more than made up for it and now boasts a stack of 77,000. His table previously featured Paul Michaelis, but the latest player to lift the EPT Main Event trophy has been eliminated by Eiler.

In the previous level, Michaelis raised 300 and called a three-bet to 1,200 by Eiler from one seat over on the button. On a {K-}{6-}{3-} flop with two diamonds, Michaelis check-raised to 700 to 2,600 and Eiler called to see another king on the turn. Michaelis bet and Eiler called. After the {2-Diamonds} river, Michaelis jammed for 17,500 with pocket treys for a full house to get snap-called by Eiler with kings for quads.

While Michaelis can re-enter today still, he will likely take the rest of the day off and try again tomorrow.

Gabay Eliminated by Alvarado

Nível 2 : 100/100, 100 ante
JC Alvarado
JC Alvarado

Haim Gabay appears to be the first casualty on Day 1a after he just sent over the remainder of his stack to JC Alvarado. The board had already been completed and showed {K-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Spades} with some 8,000 in the middle.

A blue T-5,000 chip was in front of Gabay and he had another 7,200 behind only for Alvarado to move all in. Gabay was immediately taken aback, gave it a few seconds of thought and called with the words "I hope you have ace-king."

Alvarado turned over {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for two pair, having missed his flush draw, and Gabay mucked {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} before heading to the rail.

Nolet Two-Outers Dicriso

Nível 1 : 100/100, 0 ante
Guillaume Nolet
Guillaume Nolet

With some 5,000 in the middle and the turn showing {J-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{K-Spades}, Vittorio Dicriso and Guillaume Nolet started a raising war that saw the latter at risk for 23,200 and in need of help.

Guillaume Nolet: {J-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Vittorio Dicriso: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}

The miracle {7-Clubs} appeared on the river and Dicriso gasped "oh my god", dropping to just over one third of the starting stack.

Defending champion Maria Lampropulos
Defending champion Maria Lampropulos

Poker enthusiasts from near and far will be heading to the Atlantis Resort & Casino on Paradise Island at the Bahamas for the 2019 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) $10,300 Main Event. The first of two starting days kicks off at noon local time and plenty of big names are expected to join the action and try to become the latest EPT Main Event champion.

The defending champion is Argentina's Maria Lampropulos, who topped a field of 582 entries one year ago to lift the trophy and score a payday of $1,081,100, her second seven-figure score on the international poker circuit. Lampropulos has already taken part in the record-breaking $25,000 PokerStars NL Hold'em Players Championship, which concluded yesterday with the victory of Platinum Pass qualifier Ramon Colillas, and will be there to defend her title in the days to come.

Further previous winners in the PCA Main Event include such big names as Gus Hansen, Bertrand Grospellier, Harrison Gimbel, Galen Hall, Dominik Panka and Christian Harder, who have all engraved their names into the history books of poker.
