Winter Calls It

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Tom-Aksel Bedell opened to 17,000 from the cutoff and was called by Sean Winter on the button and Thomas Muehloecker in the small blind. Sam Greenwood three-bet to 75,000 in the big blind which only got a call from Winter.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and both players checked to the {4-Spades} on the turn and the {q-Hearts} on the river. Greenwood checked for the third time and Winter finally pushed in a bet of 118,000. Greenwood flicked in a chip to call and Winter showed his displeasure with the hand.

"You have ace-eight?" Winter asked as he tabled {k-Spades}{j-Spades}. Greenwood turned over {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} which was virtually the same hand as ace-eight. "Fucking bullshit!" Winter reacted. "I can't believe I let you get away with that shit. I knew you had ace-eight and I still played the hand like a dumbass."

Reeves Busto

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Lucas Reeves
Lucas Reeves

Chin Wei Lim bet 50,000 under the gun, leaving about 50,000 back. Lucas Reeves jammed for 137,000 in the next seat and Lim put in his remaining chips after everyone else folded.

Lucas Reeves: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Chin Wei Lim: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

The {k-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs} was good for a Lim double. Left with 34,000, Reeves busted the next hand with {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds} into the {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} of Gianluca Speranza.

Zamani Lays a Beat on Sammartino

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Martin Zamani limped in from middle position which prompted calls from Gianluca Speranza and Ariel Celestino. Dario Sammartino raised it up to 65,000 in the big blind and Zamani instantly shoved all in for 233,000. The action folded back to Sammartino who quickly called and had the best hand.

Dario Sammartino: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Martin Zamani: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

However, the dealer fanned the flop of {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds} to give Zamani a set of nines. The {2-Hearts} on the turn improved him to a full house and the {k-Hearts} on the river was no help for Sammartino.

Romero First to Payouts

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Action folded to Martin Zamani in the small blind and he said he was all in. James Romero, sitting with about 80,000, announced a call.

Martin Zamani: {k-Hearts}{9-Spades}
James Romero: {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

The {8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{j-Hearts} pulled Romero ahead but he evidently wanted a sweat because he called for a heart. Instead, a different sweat card arrived in the {10-Diamonds} as Zamani picked up a straight draw. He got there on the {q-Hearts} river.

Watson Eliminated on the Money Bubble

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Mike Watson
Mike Watson

Dominik Nitsche raised it up from under the gun and Mike Watson called from the big blind on the short stack. The flop came {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Spades} and the two players got all of the chips in the middle with Watson at risk for around 50,000.

Dominik Nitsche: {8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Mike Watson: {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Nitsche had the best hand with a pair of eights but Watson held two overcards and a flush draw. The {7-Diamonds} on the turn and the {q-Hearts} on the river bricked off and Watson was eliminated on the money bubble.

Winter Shuts Down Quickly

Nível 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Kelvin Kerber raised it up from the hijack and Sean Winter defended from the big blind. The flop came {10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Spades} and Winter checked to Kerber who continued for 12,000. Winter check-raised to 50,000 and Kerber called.

The turn brought the {3-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {k-Diamonds} on the river. Winter checked again and Kerber slid in a bet of 105,000. Winter thought for a moment but decided to lay his hand down.
