Goran Mandic Eliminated by Jack Sinclair

Nível 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

While we didn't catch all the action, we did see Jack Sinclair holding {A-}{A-} and raking in a big pot. Goran Mandic's chips were being sent over to Sinclair. According to some players at the table, Mandic had moved all in before the flop and Sinclair called with his aces while Mandic held {K-}{K-}.

"Poor dude," Maurice Hawkins said, who was also seated at the table. "Bluffed off 80% of his stack and finally woke up with kings. Nice hand man.

Sinclair raked in the pot and the former 2017 Main Event final tablist bolstered his stack to nearly 50,000.

Mohsin Charania Slipping

Nível 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

Mohsin Charania opened from the hijack seat with a raise to 700. Kliment Tarmakov called from the big blind so the two took to a flop.

The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and both players checked. On the {J-Hearts} turn, Tarmakov checked. Charania put out a bet of 1,600. Tarmakov thought briefly, then raised, making it 5,000. Charania thought for about 20 seconds before calling.

The river was the {9-Spades} and Tarmakov put out a big bet of 27,000, which was enough to put Charania all in for roughly 13,000. Charania thought for a bit, then pitched his cards into the muck. Charania was left with less than half of what he started with and will have to do some work to recover here in the Main Event.

Dick Postel Dodges James Calderaro's Plethora of Outs

Nível 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

With approximately 3,000 in the pot and a flop of {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}, the Netherlands' Dick Postel bet 2,100 under the gun and WSOP bracelet winner James Calderaro raised to 7,375 from the button, which was the amount Postel had total. Postel gave it some thought and then called off.

Calderaro: {6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Postel: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Postel was ahead, but Calderaro had both straight and flush outs. Fortunately for Postel, neither the {q-Hearts} turn nor {J-Hearts} river hit Calderaro and he shipped the double.

Jared Jaffee Takes it on the Flop

Nível 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

After a raise to 725 from middle position and a call from the player in the cutoff, Jared Jaffee raised, making it 2,300 from the button. Action folded back to the cut off where the player called.

The flop came down {8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and the player in the cutoff thought for a bit before checking it over to Jaffee. Jaffee contemplated a bit himself before deciding to bet 3,050. That would earn a fold from his opponent and allowed Jaffee to take down the pot.

Some Updated Counts and New Faces

Nível 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

A few new faces have joined the field recently such as Chris Moorman fresh off his bust out in $1,650 PokerStars National Championship earlier in the day and Nadya Magnus who finished 9th in this very event last year.

Fedor Koeleman vs. Ari Engel

Nível 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

Ari Engel raised to 525 from early position and the Netherlands' Fedor Koeleman, who was next to act, three-bet him to 1,700. Action folded back to Engel and he called to see a {3-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{k-Clubs} flop.

Engel check-called a bet of 1,500 and then both players checked the {9-Clubs} turn.

When the {4-Clubs} completed the board on the river, action went check-check and Engel showed a flush with the {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. It was no good though as Koeleman had him beat with a {j-Clubs}{a-Spades} flush.
