Loosli Sends Shak Packing

Nível 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

After Dan Shak opened and Sylvain Loosli three-bet, Shak four-bet shoved and Loosli snap-called putting him at risk.

Shak: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Loosli: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{6-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Shak's day came to an end.

Watson's Set is No Good

Nível 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Mikalai Vaskaboinikau opened to 12,000 from early position and Isaac Haxton called directly to his left. Mike Watson was in the big blind and shoved all in for 121,000. Vaskaboinikau called while Haxton folded.

Mikalai Vaskaboinikau: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Mike Watson: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The flop came {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Spades} giving Watson a set of jacks but Vaskaboinikau flopped a straight. Watson would need the board to pair to stay alive but the {a-Hearts} on the turn and the {6-Diamonds} on the river bricked out.

Greenwood Stacks Cabrera

Nível 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Oussama Mobaress limped from under the gun, Pablo Cabrera jammed from the cutoff for 91,000, and Sam Greenwood re-shoved from the button. Mobaress folded and the two live players tabled their hands.

Greenwood: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Cabrera: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

Greenwood was way ahead with the larger pocket pair and Cabrera needed to improve to survive. The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} which missed both players, so Greenwood took the pot to end Cabrera's tournament.

Haxton Wins a Flip

Nível 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Mikita Badziakouski opened from the cutoff and Isaac Haxton announced all in out of the big blind. Badziakouski quickly called off his stack of around 85,000 and the hands were tabled.

Haxton showed {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} and Badziakouski was flipping with {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. The flop came {j-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Haxton spiked a jack to take the lead. The {3-Hearts} on the turn and the {4-Spades} on the river were of no help to Badziakouski as he was eliminated in the last hand before the break.

Khoroshenin Cracks Sontheimer's Kings to Double Up

Nível 8 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Oleksii Khoroshenin and Steffen Sontheimer got all the chips in the middle before the flop in a battle of the blinds with Khoroshenin in the small and Sontheimer in the big. Khoroshenin had 162,000 to start the hand and Sontheimer had him well covered.

Khoroshenin: {Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Sontheimer: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

Sontheimer had a commanding lead with his kings, but the board ran out {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} to give Khoroshenin two pair, so he took the pot to double up.
