Sexton Drops a Reraised Pot

Nível 5 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

A player in early position had a raise in front of him to an unknown amount with a T100,000 chip. Mike Sexton put in 205,000 on the button and his opponent tagged along for the {7-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} flop. That player double-checked his holding then moved all in for about 500,000. Sexton double-checked as well but quickly mucked.

Linde, Bicknell and Owen Rising Before Break

Nível 4 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The tournaments is up to 158 runners at this point as the players head on their second break of the day.

Owen Gets a Shove Through

Nível 4 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

On a completed board of {j-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}{q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}, Adam Owen pushed all in for 431,000 on the button. It was just under the size of the pot and his opponent under the gun went deep into the tank. After a couple of minutes of thought and an apology to his tablemates, that player opted to let it go and Owen took it down uncontested.

Fernandez Finds the Call

Nível 3 : 3,000/7,000, 7,000 ante

Pablo Fernandez bet 150,000 on the river from the big blind with a ten-high straight sitting on the felt. There were also three diamonds on board, and Fernandez's opponent raised to 400,000, bringing a big sigh from the Spaniard. He thought for about 30 seconds and put in a call.

"Board," his opponent said.

"I have a jack," Fernandez replied, showing {j-Clubs}{10-Spades} for a jack-high straight to take it down.

Meanwhile, the tournament is pushing closer to 150 entries here on Day 1a. Joe Serock, Sam Panzica and Dak Shak are some of the notables recently taking seats.

Bicknell on Crumbs Before Break

Nível 2 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

A number of familiar faces have joined the event just before break, pushing the total entries to 114. One of those is Kristen Bicknell, but the partypoker pro is off to a poor start after making what she said was a big fold.

On a completed board of {j-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{q-Spades}{10-Hearts}, Bicknell bet 425,000 from the cutoff into about 600,000. Her opponent on the button set her in for 210,000 more.

"I actually think there's a chance you might be bluffing," she said with a laugh. "That's my problem is I never believe. But you would just never bluff here, right?"

Minutes later, she folded what she said was a small flush and the players went on break for 15 minutes.
