Samuelsson Loses Flip to Swift

Nível 48 : 600,000/1,200,000, 100,000 ante

After being involved in the last two big hands on his table, Andreas Samuelsson would follow that up with a third one. Katie Swift raised to 2.7M and the Swede shoved for what looked like 10.05M,. Swift asked for a brief count and called.

Andreas Samuelsson: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Katie Swift: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

The board came {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{5-Spades} and Samuelsson was eliminated in 27th place for £22,500.

Hall "Asks" for a Chop; Gets a Double

Nível 48 : 600,000/1,200,000, 100,000 ante

Tom Hall raised to 2.6M on the button and Moritz Dietrich moved all in, which he had previously done already on the river of a board {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{J-Hearts}. In the previous hand, Hall had folded from under the gun, and now he turned around to look at the tournament screen. As there was a pay jump, he considered his options and even asked the floor to call the clock on him.

The one minute ran down and with six seconds left, Hall called.

Tom Hall: {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Moritz Dietrich: {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

On the {K-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop, Hall said a five or six may come and Ashley Williams then said "bro, you just asked for a chop," right after the {6-Hearts} hit the turn. The {J-Diamonds} river however avoided the split pot and instead let Hall double for 18.7M.

Kurganov Sent to the Rail

Nível 48 : 600,000/1,200,000, 100,000 ante
Igor Kurganov
Igor Kurganov

Only seconds after Andreas Samuelsson was eliminated in 27th place, Igor Kurganov followed suit on the adjacent table. With the "Seat Open" callout still ringing in the ears, Mark Kelsall made the call out of the blinds to put Kurganov at risk for his last 10,200,000.

Kelsall's {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} were trailing the {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts} of Kurganov, and the Russian plead the dealer for plenty of hearts to make both players a flush. It wouldn't be like that, however, as the board ran out {3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, and Kurganov exited in 26th good for £22,500.

Dietrich Busts Williams on the Feature Table

Nível 48 : 600,000/1,200,000, 100,000 ante

After an open-raise by Jake Cody, short stack Ashley Williams moved all in from the button for what looked like 16.4M. Moritz Dietrich called in the small blind and only then realized the open-raise of Cody. The drama was cut short though, as Cody folded to set up the all in showdown.

Ashley Williams: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Moritz Dietrich: {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The {A-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop improved Dietrich and Williams shook his head, then asked for the {3-Clubs} {5-Clubs} runout to make a straight flush. On the {7-Clubs} turn, he got excited with a "ohhh, we got a sweat," but ultimately the {8-Spades} river was a brick and Williams was the last player to collect £22,500. All remaining 24 players have £25,000 locked up.

Ke Busts to Lampropoulos

Nível 49 : 800,000/1,600,000, 150,000 ante

Over on the feature table, Maria Lampropoulos raised and picked up a single caller in Xia Ke out of the big blind. On the {6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop, Ke checked and Lampropoulops bet 2,000,000. Ke check-raised to 6.1M and had some 23M behind before Lampropoulos moved all in. Ke called and the cards were tabled.

Xia Ke: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Maria Lampropoulos: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}

The board completed with the {4-Spades} turn and the {Q-Clubs}, sending Ke to the rail in 24th place for £25,000.

Rypulak Gets the Double

Nível 49 : 800,000/1,600,000, 150,000 ante

With the opportunity to win £100,000 for being the last golden chip holder standing, Mateusz Rypulak has yet another argument to factor in in every decision he makes today. Three players remain with a golden chip, and though the current chipleader Jacob Mulhern are way out in front, Rypulak just got an important double to keep the dream alive.

On a board of {8-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{2-Hearts} Rypulak called a bet of 5,5 million from Finland's Antti Halme, and after some deliberation, he made the call for his tournament life on the {2-Clubs} as well.

Rypulak held {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and needed to fade aces and clubs on the river against the {A-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} of Halme. River was the {3-Hearts}, and Rypulak got the crucial double.

Lee's Eights no Good

Nível 49 : 800,000/1,600,000, 150,000 ante

Both Kris Lee and Soenke Jahn had been the short stacks, and it would happen that both clashed in a pot that saw Jahn open-shove from under the gun. Lee was in the big blind with around 17M and called all in.

Kris Lee: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Soenke Jahn: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

The board ran out {5-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and Jahn paired his ace to eliminate Lee. "Well done man, good luck guys," Lee said with a smile on the face while departing from the tournament area. Lee finishes in 23rd place for £25,000.

Dietrich Dusts Off Vaillancourt

Nível 49 : 800,000/1,600,000, 150,000 ante

Over on the feature table, Moritz Dietrich and Noah Vaillancourt clashed and it soon became obvious why. Out of the small blind, Vaillancourt was the player at risk for what looked like 36M and Dietrich in the cutoff had him dominated.

Noah Vaillancourt: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Moritz Dietrich: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}

The board ran out {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{7-Spades}{9-Spades} and the French-Canadian was eliminated in 22nd place for £25,000. Dietrich's stack was colored up and he received brand new grey 5M chips.

Gardner Wins Flip to Double

Nível 49 : 800,000/1,600,000, 150,000 ante

Mark Gardner was moved to the feature table not long ago and open-shoved the hijack for what looked like 20M. Christoffer Stahle flat-called on the button and both blinds got out of the way.

Mark Gardner: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Christoffer Stahle: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

After a board of {8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, Gardner doubled and Stahle lost around one fourth of his stack.
