Dunst Doubles after Coolering With Aces

Nível 31 : 12,000/24,000, 2,500 ante
Tony Dunst
Tony Dunst

Day 2 has begun very well for partypoker ambassador Tony Dunst after he got it all-in pre-flop in superb shape.

"The big blind player raised me pre-flop after I opened to 30,000," Dunst told us, "I then made it 165,000 and he re-raised to 385,000 with 1.7m in total. I shoved for 1.6m and he called. I had aces and he had ace-king. The queen-high board saw me double-up."

Dunst may be flying along with a million chips more than the average stack, but others have departed.

Johnny Lodden, Sylvia Hewitt, Ben Spragg, Preben Stokkan, Simon Brooks, Manig Loeser, Manuel Bardon, Phil Mighall, Stevan Chew and partypoker ambassador Joao Simao have all bitten the dust in the first level and a half, although there is still time for one last re-entry before late registration closes at 3.50pm local time.

Another Incredible Table

Nível 31 : 12,000/24,000, 2,500 ante

Ian Simpson raised to 50,000 at the end of the previous level in the Marquee room and picked up two callers in Steven van Zadelhoff and Mark Kelsall in the big blind. The flop came {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Simpson's bet of 90,000 claimed the pot. The same table also features Dominik Nitsche, Marcel Luske, Marvin Rettenmaier and Tobias Reinkemeier.

Other big stacks in the Marquee room include Katie Swift and Mihaita Croitoru. Swift just won a smaller pot when calling a raise on the cutoff. The flop of {4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} went check, check, and her sole opponent then check-called the bet of 58,000 by Swift on the {10-Clubs} turn.

After the {6-Spades} river, her opponent check-called 180,000 and then mucked when he was shown {K-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Nível 30 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

With the option of reentry the reaching of the £6 million guarantee is approaching quickly. Among the players who have opted for a reentry within the first hour of play today is Jason Wheeler, Dominik Nitsche, Ben Heath and Martin Kabhrel. At this point in time a fresh stack of 1,000,000 chips still equates to 50 big blinds.

Honeyman Takes the Cake

Nível 30 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante
The Queens of Stevan Chew could not hold up for a double.
The Queens of Stevan Chew could not hold up for a double.

Dylan Honeyman raised it up to 55,000 from early position, Jose Gonzalez made the call in the small blind before Stevan Chew reopened the action with a raise to 220,000 out of the big blind. With the action back on Honeyman he announced all-in for 1,8 million total, Gonzalez got out of the way and Chew instantly called and turned over {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}.

Honeyman and his {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} needed help to secure the elimination, and help was just what he got, as the dealer fanned a {A-}{5-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop. The {K-Diamonds} turn opened up for potential split pots, but the {2-Clubs} on the river was as blank as they come, and Chew hit the rail.

Chew busted for the second time today after re-entering and has been officially eliminated from the event.

Hot Off the Press

Dusk Till Dawn Casino Tournament Director Simon Trumper has told the players the good news that the MILLIONS Main Event guarantee of £6,000,000 has been reached with late registration remaining open for the rest of this level and the forthcoming break (until around 3.50pm local time).

The #partypokerLIVE MILLIONS Main Event here at Dusk Till Dawn has been a stunning success and Trumper's announcement was met with a huge cheer and round of applause from both cardrooms in action.

Tony Dunst Plays God

Nível 30 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante
Tony Dunst
Tony Dunst

One man with plenty of belief in his own ability here at the partypokerLIVE MILLIONS is partypoker ambassador Tony Dunst. The former WPT and WSOP Bracelet winner rightly approaches poker like he does life - with a spring in his step and a confident calm about whatever transpires at the table.

Never happy to let a poker player stay in their comfort zone, we threw a stick in Dunst’s spokes by challenging his ability to take control of the world for a few minutes. We made him God for five questions and gave him some serious decisions to influence. Where does Tony’s finger point? Read on and find out.

You can make one immediate rule change to poker that must be universally accepted. What is it?

"It would be impossible to mandate without being God, but it would be no fake-tanking. You’re not allowed to tank when you don’t actually have a decision. If you want to take 5-10 seconds to balance out thing. It’s a competitive economy, I get it, but when people are fake-tanking approaching the bubble, I kind of hate all that stuff."

You can be James Bond in a James Bond film…but only one. Which is it?

"Excellent question. I guess it would probably be Goldeneye, because it’s the Bond movie that I grew up with. It’s the one that I know like the back of my hand. So when Alec Trevelyan hatches his evil plot, I’d know exactly what to do. During some of the other Bond movies, I’d be thinking ‘I saw this ten years ago, what am I supposed to do?’

With Goldeneye, I’d be ‘OK, I got it, laser, wrist-watch, floor, don’t worry, the train’s not going to explode, we’re going to get out of here in time, I’ll grab a tank, it’s all good.”

Everyone has to eat one type of world cuisine; which food do you stipulate?

"Sushi. Everyone being forced to eat it would be good for them. But also, that would mean I have to eat it every day of the year which would be good because I do that anyway. It’s so weird how much I love it. I never used to; I tried it once a year for ten years and I didn’t like it and then a friend of mine had a dinner party and he and his girlfriend were making it and I just realised that clearly it’s the best food ever. I’ve never made it, though."

You can travel back in time to spend a week with your 15-year-old self. What do you say to him?

"Don’t keep too much money on an online poker site! That’s what I would tell him. Keep plenty on partypoker, you can trust them, it’s all good. It’s all safe. But a bunch of other sites, especially in the U.S., maybe around early April 2011, just get all the money off. Number one piece of advice. the natural thought is to do with Daily Fantasy Sports. I mean, we could just outright cheat, but it wouldn’t be all that fun. To know the outcome in life wouldn’t be that entertaining. Even to win every single time in poker, I would get bored. It’s the challenge that makes the game."

Finally, you can bring one person back to life. Who would you resurrect?

"I would bring Einstein back. Firstly, because it would be cool to see the look on his face when people would tell him ‘Hey, you were right about gravitational waves and he’d be like ‘No way!’ But also I just feel that he was so ahead of the curve on everything that he would still be the smartest man on the planet.

They’d have a whole bunch of new information and data for him. They’d be ‘All right, Einstein, theorise what’s right and wrong, OK? Get back to work! Make the next five breakthroughs that nobody would ever have conceived making for the next thousands years. Get at ‘em!’ I wonder if they brought him back and they caught him up and told him everything that had happened, he’d reply ‘Yeah, I know. I tried to tell you.”

Day 2 Duels

Nível 30 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

There are some superb table draws, as you can see from the full list below. But the highlights feature a few battles we thought we'd highlight for you.

British poker legends Sam Grafton and Jake Cody are sat opposite each other in a battle of the snapbacks. The first time Cody opened the action, Grafton was first react, asking:

"Am I allowed to chant 'three-bet, three-bet' every time you bet?" he asked with a twinkle in his eye. Jake Cody smiled and nodded, the two friends sharing the first of many jokes at what should be a fun table.

There are great match-ups all over the cardroom. Dermot Blain has well over average, which currently sits at 2.08million (100 big blinds). He's opposite Vojtech Ruzicka, who took down yesterday's £10,300 High Roller final table.

William Kassouf has become infamous for his controversial run at last year's WSOP Main Event. He'll be hoping to 'boss' the action against Stephen Chidwick, who sits on his direct right.

Liv Boeree has a golden '£100,000 Last Longer' chip in front of her and does battle against the other British player to run deep in last year's WSOP Main Event, Andrew Christoforou.

There's a meeting of the November Niners, with James Akenhead taking on 2014 WSOP Main Event winner and Swedish sensation Martin Jacobsen.

We'll keep you up to date on who gets the better of each other in these potentially pivotal clashes between top players.

Walsh Busts Hewitt, Jackson Four-Bets

Nível 30 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Louis Salter raised to 45,000 and Simon Mattsson three-bet to 140,000 in the small blind after having asked for the stack of Salter. Then, Ben Jackson four-bet to 280,000 and Salter folded, Mattsson called. On the {10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop, the Swede checked and Jackson scooped the pot with a bet of 150,000.

Also on one of the tables nearby, Sylvia Hewitt has just been eliminated. She three-bet all in from the button with the {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and initial raiser James Walsh called with the {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. The board came {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{K-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.
