The long-anticipated dinner break has just begun. Play will resume in 90 minutes with blinds at 600/1,200 and an ante of 200.
Also, from 10:00 p.m. until after midnight the Grand Moroccan Party will be taking place at the Social club featuring tasty couscous géant along with "Le Grand Quizz Winamax".
Many of those not playing can be found throughout the day being entertained at the pool. We imagine starting tomorrow the pool will get a bit busier with no more players able to re-enter.
With the dinner break looming the Day 1c field is down to 147 or a little more than one-third of the original 428 players. Between 20 to 25 percent of the field is expected to survive until tomorrow to compete with the 38 players (out of 179) to make it from Day 1a and the 60 (out of 294) to make it from Day 1b.
The 1,600 MAD (€147) Le Totem which began at 5:00 p.m. is taking place in another room due to the Main Event needing most of the space in the main tournament area.
However, now that the Day 1c field is less than half of its total, there is enough room for the 600 MAD (€55) La Fievre Satellite at 8:00 p.m. to take place side by side in the same room with the Winamax SISMIX Main Event. Dealers are getting ready with the first cards scheduled to go in the air in 15 minutes.
The big board is now showing just 214 of the 428 to enter Day 1c creating an average stack of exactly double the 20,000 starting stack with 40,000 chips.
With 428 entrants in Day 1c, the Winamax SISMIX Main Event field has reach 901 players - including 329 re-entries - or 29 more than last year's 872. This year's tournament's field size also represents 231 players more than the 670 that entered in 2014, which was the first year the festival ran.
