Moroccans Also in the Field

Nível 6 : 200/400, 50 ante
Anas Tadini (compliments of Caroline Darcourt)
Anas Tadini (compliments of Caroline Darcourt)

Morocco's Anas Tadini has almost $500,000 in career poker tournament cashes putting him fourth on his country's all-time cash list according to The Hendon Mob.

As a seasoned poker player, Tadini is often seen in and around Es Saadi Resort and Gardens, where the Casino de Marrakech is located. Today he is off to a slow start down to 15,000 chips. With blinds about to go up after the next break to 250/500 with a 50 ante, he will still have 30 big blinds and plenty of time to change how things thus far have been going for him.

Nível 6 : 200/400, 50 ante
Alexandre Luneau
Alexandre Luneau

Team Winamax member Alexandre "Alexonmoon" Luneau's stack was down and then around starting level when with the blinds at 200/400 and an ante of 50 he won a nice uncontested pot after the player under the gun opened for 1,000, the next player raised to 2,400, before Luneau four-bet the action to 5,400. Both opponents folded giving Luneau a decent uncontested pot.

Davidi Kitai In and Out (and In Again) in Three Hands

Nível 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Belgian Team Winamax member Davidi Kitai busted out of the Highroller just before the money and was debating on whether or not to join in on the Main Event today or not.

He was thinking about whether to enjoy the weather and the pool mentioned that in re-entry tournaments his last bullet is often the best.

"In tournaments re-entry is often my last cartridge that is winning," shared Kitai who has the most tournament cashes out of any player in Belgium according to The Hendon Mob with almost $7 million recorded.

Kitai eventually relented by entering and maybe wishes now he headed to the pool instead as he was out on his first bullet in three hands.

The first hand was normal enough with the Belgian just folding the action. The second hand is the one that did him in when he wound up with his entire 50 big-blind stack in the middle with {Q-}{Q-} only to lose when his hand was unable to improve against his opponent's {A-}{A-}. From there he was just left an ante and was quickly eliminated.

Kitai is on his second bullet, which would be his last for the day if he is eliminated again.

158 Players

Nível 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Last year, 194 players entered on Day 1a for the Winamax SISMIX Main Event. This year we are starting to approach on that number with 158 entrants already in the field with more than two hours of late registration still available.

About one-quarter of the field is gone with 112 players remaining.

Kinshu!!

Nível 5 : 150/300, 25 ante
Julien Bochereau (compliments of Caroline Darcourt)
Julien Bochereau (compliments of Caroline Darcourt)

Julien Bochereau, or more affectionately known as "Kinshu" is one of the more popular players in the field based on the staff reactions. We just learned why as Bochereau shared with us that he is the Winamax Sport Community Manager. Previously, "Kinshu" used to report on live tournaments before moving into his new roll.

While Bochereau hasn't recorded a live poker cash in five years, he appears to be having fun working to improve his stack instead of working at the tournament as he did with his past profession.

Aces Pair for Florian Decamps

Nível 5 : 150/300, 25 ante
Florian Decamps
Florian Decamps

Team Winamax Florian Decamps lost a few smaller pots early on before just winning a big pot a short while ago.

With blinds at 100/200 and an ante of 25, Decamps opened the action from the button with a raise to 500 which was called by Lithuania's Gytis Lazauninkas from the big blind.

Flop: {Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-}

Lazauninkas checks the action on the flop to Decamps who bets 500. Lazauninkas then check-raises to 1,400 which is called by Decamps.

The Lithuanian then led out for 2,200 after the {A-Clubs} hit the turn which Decamps called. Lazauninkas bet an even bigger 5,500 on the {K-} river which Decamps once again called.

Decamps wins a big pot after he turned over {A-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} while Lazauninkas was hoping for an opponent fold holding {8-}{7-}.

Fast & Furious

Nível 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Despite not a single player busting out the opening level, since then play on some tables has gone fast and furious. Such can be the nature of the beast in six-max tournaments.

Still at 100 big blinds deep, we witnessed 26 players eliminated from the 146 entrants to already enter the field. About half, or 12 of those players decided to see if they could improve their fate by re-entering. Blinds are about to go up which should accelerate things even further.
