Last year's OFC Championship High Roller Jennifer Shahade has just been eliminated by Italy's Max Pescatori. It does not appear that Shahade will be re-entering, however, we expect to see her back in action again tomorrow for the two-day OFC Championship Main Event.
With Shahade's exit, the feature table headlines a heads-up battle between Pescatori and Jens Lakemeier.
Duc Han Tran was the first elimination earlier in the day. He is ready to give it a second shot as he is the second player to re-enter the tournament. We are now at 23 entrants, which ties the total of last year. With late registration open for a few more hours, it seems like a slam dunk that this tournament will break last year's record.
Tran is seated with yesterday's Progressive Pineapple OFC Champion and TonyBet Poker Ambassador Isabelle "No Mercy" Mercier and Kostiantyn Tupalo.
Level 4 is in the books, and players are up and stretching for the second 15-minute break of the day. Player will resume with points valued at 500 chips each.
It is official. With Alexandra Usoltseva, the girlfriend of Sergey Rybachenko, entering the tournament we now have 24 entrants. The number will likely climb higher, but it already eclipses last year's total of 23 entrants.
The Last Minute Satellite to OFC Main Event just began. As the title suggests, this is absolutely the last chance for players to qualify into the Main Event without ponying up the €1,000 buy-in.
The event features 10,000 starting chips and 15 minute blinds. Players can re-enter as many times they would like for the first ten blind levels.
