2024 NAPT Las Vegas
Nível: 7
Blinds: 400/800
Ante: 800
In the 863rd episode of the PokerNews Podcast, which is sponsored by the free-to-play WSOP App, Chad Holloway and Kyna England are joined by Connor Richards at Level 9 Studio to kick off the 2024 Pokerstars North American Poker Tour (NAPT) at Resorts World!
The series runs November 1-10 and will offer players and Gold Pass winners the opportunity to become the “Loose Cannon” on the PokerStars Big Game, which will also see future football Hall of Famer Rob Gronkowski compete at the felt. Speaking of Gold Pass winners, we highlight more players who won their way to Las Vegas including Luis Viera, who won his Gold Pass in the PokerNews Podcast giveaway, and Canada's Steve Maddison, who our PokerNews Ontario Ambassador Kyle Anderson interviewed as a part of the show.
And let's not forget about the NAPT Women’s Event on Nov. 5 featuring a $30,000 guarantee and CardPlayer Lifestyle’s Mixed Game Festival IX from Nov. 3-7.
Connor then shares his thoughts on the Life Outside Poker Meet-Up Game and shares the tragic story of Jim Weger, who passed away in a motorcycle accident the night before the 10th Annual Pawn Stars Poker Run. You'll also get to hear about winners from the 2024 Norwegian Poker Championship, and finally, you can see Chad take part in a $100 flip during an impromptu appearance on The Absolute Nuts show, which was filming their cash game at Resorts World during the PokerNews MUG.
The podcast has a new sponsor in the #1 free-to-play WSOP app, and as part of it, we run another "WSOP Replay" segment in which Chad reviews a famous poker hand through the lens of the WSOP App. Check it out and remember to use bonus code "POKERNEWS" if you download and play for an extra 1,000,000 in chips!
A new PokerNews Podcast will drop weekly every Friday at 8a PT / 11a ET / 4p UK time. Remember to subscribe to our YouTube channel so you do not miss an episode!
Players are now on a 75-minute dinner break, with play resuming at approximately 7:45 p.m. local time.
The field has grown to 251 entrants, of which 153 players remain.
In a three-way pot on a flop of 5♦2♥2♠, Yake Wu bet 2,000 when checked to and only Joe Serock called.
Serock checked again on the 4♥ turn and Wu checked back. Both players checked again on the 10♣ river and Serock tabled 6♥6♦ to win the pot.

Terrance Reid opened to 1,300 from middle position before Shawn Buchanan three-bet to 3,500 from the hijack. With the action back on Reid, he decided to four-bet jam as the slightly covering stack for 20,500 effective and Buchanan snapped it off.
Shawn Buchanan: Q♠Q♥
Terrance Reid: A♣10♦
Buchanan was ahead with queens but Reid's ace was live. The K♦J♦8♠ flop gave Reid two additional gutshot outs but the 2♠8♦ runout sealed the double for Buchanan and left Reid on fumes.

Yiannis Liperis opened to 1,300 from the hijack and received calls from Michael Sandler in the small blind and Maria Konnikova in the big blind.
All three players checked the 10♥8♣8♠ flop leading to the 4♦ turn. Sandler checked, Konnikova bet 1,100, Liperis called and Sandler folded.
Konnikova bet 3,000 when checked to on the Q♥ river and once again Liperis made the call. Konnikova showed queens up with Q♣9♦ and Liperis mucked.

Action was picked up on the turn in a pot between Hassan Tahsildar from under the gun and David Ha on the button with around 5,500 in the middle.
Tahsildar led with a bet and Ha responded with a jam for his remaining 9,000. Tahsildar did not take long before he stuck in the call and the hands were tabled.
David Ha: A♠10♣
Hassan Tahsildar: J♦10♦
Tahsildar held top pair while Ha just had ace-high and was drawing to three remaining outs. However, in miraculous fashion the dealer peeled the A♦ on the river to give Ha the river as he survived at the expense of a frustrated Tahsildar.
