Merijn van Rooij raised to 50,000 from the cutoff with Paul Lagan calling from the small blind. Ibrahim Ghasan squeezed to 225,000 out of the big blind, and Van Rooij shoved for roughly 500,000. Lagan took a while before folding, but Ghasan made the call to put Van Rooij at risk.

Van Rooij was in a great spot to double up to over a million chips. The 10♥5♦2♥ flop meant only running cards could end Van Rooij's tournament. The 7♥ turn left Ghasan drawing dead as the 8♠ landed on the river. Van Rooij doubled up, while Lagan was furious at himself for folding pocket sevens as he would have turned a set and won a huge pot.
