Dmitry Gromov raised to 800,000 from under the gun and Bogdan Jontulovic three-bet from the button to 2,050,000. Anton Wigg then four-bet to 5,500,000 from the small blind, which got both of his opponents to fold.
The action folded to Nichan Khorchidian in the small blind, who shoved a big stack of green chips, worth 500,000 each, into the pot. Vedat Yilmaz was in the big blind with around 3,000,000 behind and quickly called.
Vedat Yilmaz: 8♥7♥
Nichan Khorchidian: A♥8♦
Yilmaz was at risk and dominated by the superior hand of Khorchidian, but he did pick up some extra outs on the 9♠9♣5♣ flop as he picked up a gutshot. However, the 3♠10♦ runout was no help, and Yilmaz was out in 5th.
Vedat Yilmaz raised to 900,000 from under the gun and Anton Wigg called in the small blind.
On the 5♣9♣8♣ flop, both players checked to the J♣ turn where Wigg check-called a bet of 1,200,00 from Yilmaz.
When the 6♦ hit the river, both players checked again then Wigg revealed a straight with 7♥7♦. Yilmaz was furious and thumped the table in frustration, then revealed A♣J♥ for top pair.
Anton Wigg raised from under the gun to 800,000 and Nichan Khorchidian called in the cutoff. Bogdan Jontulovic also came along from the big blind
The action was checked to the river on the Q♣8♣10♠Q♥5♥ board where Jontulovic fired out 1,600,000. Wigg folded, but after some consideration, Khorchidian called.
Jontulovic then showed A♣10♥, and Khorchidian mucked.
Bogdan Jontulovic opened the button to 900,000 and Nichan Khorchidian shoved from the big blind. Jontulovic had 7,500,000 to start the hand and after thinking it over for a while, he made the call, which put him at risk.
Bogdan Jontulovic: K♥Q♥
Nichan Khorchidian: 8♣6♠
It was a big shove from Khorchidian, who was trying to apply pressure to Jontulovic as there were shorter stacks on the table, however Jontulovic had the best of it, but Khorchidian had live cards he could hit. However, the 5♠K♠4♥ flop paired Jontulovic's king, but did give Khorchidian a gutshot straight draw.
The 5♣ turn and 9♦ river didn't change the outcome of the hand, and Jontulovic jumped up the counts.
Anton Wigg had opened from under the gun and Dmitry Gromov shoved 2,900,000 from the small blind. Wigg called.
Dmitry Gromov: 6♠6♣
Anton Wigg: 10♥9♥
Wigg had a chance to bring the field down to the final four, but couldn't capitalise on it as the Q♠K♠8♠7♣9♠ runout gave Gromov a flush and earned him a double-up.
