Minvydas Kersulis opened to 400,000 from the hijack. Greg King defended the big blind.
He checked the K♥J♥3♠ flop to Kersulis who bet 600,000. King called before checking again on the 5♥ turn. Kersulis went all in for 2,500,000. King folded quickly.
Georgios Skarparis raised to 450,000 before Robert Fluereci made it 1,600,000 to go in the small blind. Skaparis then four-bet jammed for 8,100,000, getting a quick call from Fluereci.
Georgios Skarparis: 10♠10♦
Robert Fluereci: A♣K♦
Skarparis won the big flip on 9♠5♦4♣9♥8♠, doubling him up and leaving Fluereci with eight big blinds.
Georgios Skarparis raised to 450,000 in the hijack, Ravi Sheth shoved in 2,900,000 in the cutoff, and Skarparis called once the action folded back to him.
Ravi Sheth: A♦K♣
Georgios Skarparis: A♥Q♠
The 3♥9♦J♦7♠K♥ runout remained clean for Sheth, making top pair on the river to secure his double-up.
Greg King opened from under the gun to 450,000. Matthew Hall moved all in for 2,150,000 from middle position. David Pollock called in the small blind. King called.
Pollock checked the 10♠2♦3♥ flop to King who announced a bet of 2,500,000. Pollock thought for around thirty seconds before folding and the two remaining players showed down.
Matthew Hall: 9♣9♥
Greg King: 8♠8♣
"Yes!" exclaimed Hall as he found out he was ahead. Pollock asked for "no ace no queen" before the A♣ turn was dealt. "Fuck" said Hall, as he would have taken the lead in a massive pot.
However dejection became relief as the 8♥ rolled off on the river. Hall was left chipless and King raked in a sizeable chunk of chips.
Hall said "that one hurt" before departing the tournament area.
Georgios Skarparis got his 5,100,000 in from the button against Simon Wilson in the big blind and was at risk.
Georgios Skarparis: 4♥4♦
Simon Wilson: J♠J♣
Skarparis floppen an open-ender on 5♦3♠6♦ for some extra hope. The 5♠ turn did nothing for him, but the 7♣ river did, making him a straight to crack the jacks of Wilson and double up.
Carlo Wolters raised to 400,000 under the gun. David Pollock made it 1,000,000 to go in the seat next to him before Minvydas Kersulis moved in from the big blind for 1,100,000.
Wolters and Pollock checked through the 7♥2♣9♣6♠5♣ runout, getting to showdown.
Kersulis showed A♠A♥, besting the A♦Q♠ of Wolters and K♥10♦ of Pollock and tripling up.
