The Short Stacks

Nível 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

"I'll Just Call"

Nível 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

From the cutoff seat, Ryan Riess raised to 12,000. Markus Gonsalves called from the big blind, and the flop fell {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. Gonsalves checked, Riess bet 12,000, and Gonsalves called.

Both players checked the {5-Diamonds} turn card before seeing the {2-Spades} land on the river. Gonsalves led for 18,000, and Riess gave it some thought while counting out his own stack.

"I'll just call," he eventually said, tossing in the 18,000 to make the call.

Gonsalves tabled the {A-Spades}{10-Clubs} for top two pair on the flop, and Riess showed top and bottom pair on the flop with the {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

Collopy: {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
De Laat: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

The flop came down {J-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}, giving De Laat a set of sevens. The {K-Clubs} turn gave Collopy outs to Broadway, but the {7-Hearts} river further improved De Laat to quads to score the elimination.
