David Yan opened to 636,000 from the cutoff and Niklas Astedt called in the small blind. The flop hit the table and Astedt put Yan all-in. A call came from Yan for his 459,320 stack and they turned over the cards.
A big hand had Astedt sitting on top of Yan who was drawing to runner-runner. The turn brought a straight draw for Yan but a river failed to hit it and he was eliminated by the leader.
Shawn Daniels made it 224,000 to go from under the gun and Sami Kelopuro shipped 1,550,038 into the middle. Daniels called and the two turned over their hands with Kelopuro at risk.
The flop came down and the ladies of Daniels were well in front of Kelopuro who needed some help. A turn brought some more outs for Kelopuro but the river failed to improve his hand, dropping him from the field in sixth place.
Niklas Astedt raised to 220,000 from the button and Sam Greenwood shoved his 1,501,047 stack into the middle from the small blind. Astedt called and the two tabled their hands with Greenwood at risk.
The flop spread out on the virtual felt and the sixes of the leader were still standing strong. A turn left Greenwood with one last chance for romance but the river was not it and he was sent packing, shipping another monster pot to Astedt.
Niklas Astedt took to his usual role, opening to 176,000 from the button and Jason Koon called in the big blind. The flop saw both players check to the turn card where Astedt bet 115,500 and Koon check-called.
A completed the board, Koon tapped and Astedt bet 212,575. Koon check-called and Astedt tabled . Koon easily beat the air of the chipleader with his which gave him a pair of eights to take down the pot.
Jason Koon opened to 154,000 from the button and a call came from David Yan in the big blind to see the flop. Yan tapped to Koon who fired in 201,250 and Yan quickly ducked out, shipping another pot to Koon on this level.
