Holm Eliminated By Shak In Biggest Pot of the Day

Nível 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Dan Shak
Dan Shak

The action started with Thomas Holm raising to 8,000 from middle position. Dan Shak then bumped it up to 23,000 from the hijack as the table folded back around to Holm. He thought for a moment before making the call before both players watched the flop come down {5-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}.

Holm checked his option as Shak reached for his chips before sliding out 35,000. The bet was called and the dealer produced the {j-Diamonds} on the turn. Once again Holm checked. Shak reached for his chips and bet out 75,000 before waiting on Holm to make his next move.

That would take almost five minutes! Holm sat back in his chair as he stared down Shak. Then put his hands on his hand and stared at the board. Eventually he moved all in for his remaining 178,000 in chips and was snap called.

Shak: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Holm:{a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Holm was in front with the two pair but would need to dodge a diamond or a king. Just like that the dealer peeled the {5-Diamonds} on the river to give Shak the flush and award him the monster pot.

Shannon Shorr's Shorts Stack Shifted

Nível 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

According to our photographer, Shannon Shorr just got eliminated by Eugene Katchalov.

Katchalov was the proud owner of {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} while Shorr was in search of a seven with his {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}.

Both had red cards while the board would display mostly black cards. And no sevens by the way. {Q-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

Along with Shorr some other players busted as well:

"Bet, Bet, Bet? Easy huh?"

Nível 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

On a board of {Q-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts} we saw Ankush Mandavia check call a bet of 18,000 from Oliver Price at the button. Mandavia check called another 48,000 on the {2-Clubs} river but was shown {A-Spades}{K-Spades} by Price and had to fold. "Bet, Bet, Bet? Easy huh?" said Martin Kabrhel with a dead serious face. price just started stacking.

Watson Back in the Game

Nível 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Mike Watson
Mike Watson

Mike Watson lost a bunch of chips early on, but he's been grinding it back up ever since. Just now he eliminated Pavel Binar.

"He check called the flop and check shoved the turn" said Watson who had {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} on a board of {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. Binar had {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} and needed an ace or five to stay alive, but wouldn't get it with the {8-Spades} on the river.

Mahmudov Doubles Through Sammartino

Nível 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Dario Sammartino raised from the hijack before Rufat Mahmudov moved all in for his remaining 68,500 from the small blind. With the decision back on Sammartino, he thought for a minute, before finally making the call.

Sammartino: {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Mahmudov: {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}

Mahmudov was at risk but had the best hand. The flop ran out {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{6-Spades}{q-Hearts} to see him improve to a full house as he took down the pot.

McCorkell Chipping Up

Nível 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Ari Engel opened to 8,500 from under the gun and was called by Craig McCorkell in the hijack as well as Shannon Shorr in the cut off.

The flop came down {4-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Engel checked. McCorkell led out for 12,500 and was called by both opponents before the {10-Hearts} fell on the turn.

All three players checked before the dealer delivered the {7-Diamonds} on the river. Engel paused for a moment before betting out 27,000. McCorkell then did the same, before making the call as Shorr got out of the way.

Engel tabled his {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for top pair but it wouldn’t be enough after McCorkell rolled over his {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for a set.

MacPhee Busts to Kabrhel in Massive Pot

Nível 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Kevin MacPhee
Kevin MacPhee

Kevin MacPhee's registration slip was found in the bust out section, so we headed over to his former table to find out what had happened. He had a huge stack just minutes ago after all. While we could straight away tell that it was Martin Kabrhel who had MacPhee's former chips, we inquired with Ankush Mandavia as to what happend because Kabrhel was in a hand.

Mandavia told us that Kabrhel had opened under the gun and two players called before Oleksii Khoroshenin squeezed to 20,000. Right next to EPT Vienna's champion was EPT Berlin's champion (and EPT London's runner up) Kevin MacPhee who four bet to "forty something" according to Mandavia. Kabrhel then five bet to 79,500 and action folded to MacPhee who pushed. Kabrhel made the call.

MacPhee had pocket queens while Kabrhel showed kings. The five community cards were of no help to MacPhee who tweeted the following not much later:

Kevin MacPheeBusto. QQ into KK of Kahbrel for 100 bbs. Maybe could find a fold vs other players, but his reputation got me.

Benjamin Pollak and Sebastian Pauli have also been eliminated, but no details on their bust outs.

Mighall Takes A Little From Lunkin

Nível 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

The action folded around to Phillip Mighail on the button who raised it up to 6,500. Vitaly Lunkin made the call from the big blind before both players watched the flop come down {2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{4-Clubs}.

Lunkin checked before Mighall threw out a continuation bet totalling 6,500. Lunkin then reached for his chips and splashed out a raise
to 15,500 which was called shortly after.

Both players then checked the {5-Clubs} on the turn as well as the {9-Clubs} on the river. Lunkin rolled over his {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for ace-high before Mighall tabled his {j-Clubs}{4-Spades} for two pair and the winning hand.
