Rettenmaier Almost Misses First Hand, then Doubles

Nível 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Marvin Rettenmaier
Marvin Rettenmaier

Marvin Rettenmaier was running through the tournament room as he was a bit too late. Luckily for him the tournament started at 12:02 and he was just able to sit down for the first hand with mili seconds to go before his hand would have been declared dead.

Action folded to Rettenmaier in the cutoff and he shoved all in for 302,000. Shak on the button and Schemion in the small blind folded straight away but Martin Finger in the big blind asked for a count. After some thinking he made the call.

Marvin Rettenmaier: {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Martin Finger: {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

"I'll take a chop" said Rettenmaier with a smile. He would get more than he asked for: {2-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Spades}{7-Hearts}{7-Spades}.

"That's what you get for being modest" said Anton Astapau.

The Final Countdown!

Ole Schemion in 2nd
Ole Schemion in 2nd

In half an hour the final 23 players of the 2014 PokerStars.com EPT Season 11 Prague €10,300 High Roller will set foot in the Hilton for the last time this week. It's the final day of the festival and both the Main Event and the High Roller champions will be crowned today.

It's most likely going to be a long day with still 23 players remaining in the field. EPT Vienna winner Oleksii Khoroshenin is in the lead, closely followed by EPT Player of the Year Ole Schemion. Senh Ung is the shortest stack at the start of the day with 9.3 big blinds, Ari Engel has just slightly more with 10.7 big blinds.

There are only 3 players in the final 23 who are not ranked on the Global Poker Index. And even those three are well rounded, so make no mistake, it's a field full of super stars.

The first level to be played will be 10,000/20,000 with a 3,000 ante. Levels will be again one hour long and play won't stop till the winner cheque worth €606,440 has been handed to a winner.
