Anatoly Filatov Leads Heading Into Day 2
Anatoly Filatov Leads Heading Into Day 2

Welcome back to our ongoing coverage of the 2014 PokerStars.com EPT Season 11 London Main Event! Both of the starting flights have come and gone with each player participating in eight 75-minute levels of play. Now, the advancing 370 players are preparing for Day 2 where they will once again take to the felt with the hopes of becoming the next EPT Main Event champion.

Day 1a chip leader Anatoly Filatov bagged the overall chip lead heading into Day 2. Filatov sports a stack of 173,900 and certainly hopes to ride his early momentum into a deep run. Day 1b chip leader Georgios Zisimopoulos is not far behind with 171,500. Rounding out the top three is Leo Nordin who will bring a stack of 169,100 to the felt.

PokerStars Team Pros had a spectacular showing during the opening flights - two of whom bagged top ten stacks. Both Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier (147,900) and Johnny Lodden (125,800) sit toward the top of the chip counts heading into the day. Others include two-time EPT Main Event champion Victoria Coren Mitchell (115,000), Liv Boeree (102,400), Theo Jorgensen (87,800), Mickey Petersen (83,100), Marc-Andre Ladouceur (80,300), Eugene Katchalov (74,300), Ike Haxton (65,800), Leo Margets (54,200), Jake Cody (48,600), Fatima Moreira de Melo (37,500) and Jason Mercier (33,600).

While Team PokerStars had a stellar showing, that of course did not stop dozens of other familiar faces from advancing onto Day 2. Some of the other notable players to return today include Nicolas Chouity (152,700), James Dempsey (93,900), Sofia Lovgren (83,400), Stephen Chidwick (79,400), Niall Farrell (78,800), Martin Staszko (72,600), Marvin Rettenmaier (66,100), Shannon Shorr (51,400), Chris Moorman (44,800), Sam Trickett (40,000), and Daniel Colman (34,200).
