Cold Four-Bet from Sorrentino

Nível 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Sebastian Pauli raised to 40,000 from early position and it folded around to Jonas Lauck on the button. Lauck came over the top with a three-bet to 95,000 only to have action fold over to Raffaele Sorrentino in the big blind. After about a minute in the tank, Sorrentino cut out a cold four-bet to 220,000.

Pauli quickly let his hand go, putting action back on Lauck. The German thought for well over a minute before picking up his cards and dropping them into the muck. Sorrentino took down the pot with the four-bet and now has about 2.1 million in chips.

A Deep Stacked Game

We're returning today with just a little bit of time left in the 8,000/16,000 level, so we calculated the amount of big blinds the players will have in the new level, which will be 10,000/20,000 with a 3,000 ante.

It's safe to say there is a lot of play left, as the average stack is 1.2 million or 63 big blinds.

Pauli Leads on Day 4, Cody in Great Shape For Title No. 2

Jake Cody
Jake Cody

We are down to 16 players in the European Poker Tour London Main Event but only eight will make the final table today. All remaining players are guaranteed at least £22,500 but all eyes will be on the £499,700 top prize that's to be awarded late on Saturday night. To be in contention for that prize you'll have to survive today's battle that looks to be a very tough one.

A strong line up of players remains on Day 4 including three former champions, EPT Deauville winner Jake Cody sits in second while EPT Berlin champ Kevin MacPhee and EPT London champ Benny Spindler face an uphill battle.

All players are trailing German pro Sebastian Pauli who's looking to make his first EPT final table on just his second cash on the tour. Pauli has two World series of Poker final tables under his belt but making the final table could already break his biggest live tournament cash record.

Pablo Gordillo from Spain is the youngest player left in the field and he's coming off a fourth place finish in the EPT Vienna Main Event and Simon Deadman's took down the Hollywood Poker Open in Las Vegas this past summer for $351,097 after finishing second in the FPS High Roller during EPT Deauville for €87,280.

The Germans are very well represented in this Final 16 with, besides chip leader Pauli and former winner Spindler, accomplished players in Artur Koren and Jonas Lauck. Lauck finished runner-up in an event at the WSOP this past summer and he won the FPS High Roller in Deauville 2013 for €163,700.

UKIPT Dublin winner Kevin Killeen and one of Portugal's finest, Joao Vieira, are also a strong contenders to make this into an amazing penultimate day of poker in London. Stay tuned to PokerNews.com all throughout the day as we bring you all the big hands and updates from the floor starting at 12:00 p.m. local time.
