We are down to 16 players in the European Poker Tour London Main Event but only eight will make the final table today. All remaining players are guaranteed at least £22,500 but all eyes will be on the £499,700 top prize that's to be awarded late on Saturday night. To be in contention for that prize you'll have to survive today's battle that looks to be a very tough one.
A strong line up of players remains on Day 4 including three former champions, EPT Deauville winner Jake Cody sits in second while EPT Berlin champ Kevin MacPhee and EPT London champ Benny Spindler face an uphill battle.
All players are trailing German pro Sebastian Pauli who's looking to make his first EPT final table on just his second cash on the tour. Pauli has two World series of Poker final tables under his belt but making the final table could already break his biggest live tournament cash record.
Pablo Gordillo from Spain is the youngest player left in the field and he's coming off a fourth place finish in the EPT Vienna Main Event and Simon Deadman's took down the Hollywood Poker Open in Las Vegas this past summer for $351,097 after finishing second in the FPS High Roller during EPT Deauville for €87,280.
The Germans are very well represented in this Final 16 with, besides chip leader Pauli and former winner Spindler, accomplished players in Artur Koren and Jonas Lauck. Lauck finished runner-up in an event at the WSOP this past summer and he won the FPS High Roller in Deauville 2013 for €163,700.
UKIPT Dublin winner Kevin Killeen and one of Portugal's finest, Joao Vieira, are also a strong contenders to make this into an amazing penultimate day of poker in London. Raffaele Sorrentino raised to 40,000 from early position and found calls from Sebastian Pauli in the cutoff, Simon Deadman on the button, and Artur Koren in the big blind.
The flop came down and all four players checked to see the on the turn. Koren and Sorrentino checked over to Pauli who fired 120,000. Deadman went into the tank on the button for quite some time before announced a raise all in for 462,000. Koren and Sorrentino quickly folded and Pauli instantly announced a call.

Pauli led with his trip kings while Deadman was left hunting for a club that did not pair the board on the river. The dealer burned and produced the on the river, giving Deadman a flush but filling Pauli up. Deadman became the first casualty of the day, taking home £22,500 in prize money.
With this victory, Pauli boosted his stack up to 3.4 million and was the first player to eclipse the three-million chip mark.
The action folded to Ognyan Dimov who called from the small blind and Jakub Mroczek made it 60,000 from the big blind. Dimov responded by moving all in for 478,000 chips and Mroczek called right away.

The board ran out and Dimov caught a straight on the turn to stay alive.
Ogynan Dimov raised from middle position to 40,000 and Kevin MacPhee three-bet from the button to 95,000. The action folded back to Dimov who moved all in and MacPhee snap-called for a total of 605,000 chips.

The board ran out and MacPhee found himself a very big double up while leaving Dimov with just 465,000 chips.
Jonas Lauck raised from the button to 40,000 and Team PokerStars Pro Jake Cody called from the small blind after which Raffaele Sorrentino called from the big blind.
The flop came down and the action was checked to Lauck who bet 65,000. Cody check-raised to 178,000 and Sorrentino folded right away.
Lauck gave it some thought before making it 350,000 but folded when Cody moved all in on him about 10 seconds later.
Artur Koren raised under the gun to 45,000 and Raffaele Sorrentino three-bet from the cutoff to 125,000. Yann Pineau was seated in the big blind and he moved all in for 528,000 and Koren quickly folded. Sorrentino called and the showdown went as following.

The board ran out and Pineau was knocked out in 15h place on the last hand before the break.
Joao Vieira raised to 50,000 from the hijack and it folded around to Benny Spindler in the small blind who moved all in for 343,000. Vieira went into the tank for roughly four long minutes before ultimately announcing a call.

The board ran out , keeping Spindler with the best hand and allowing him to double to 737,000. Vieira, on the other hand, dropped to about 720,000 in chips.
Joao Vieira raised from the button to 48,000 and Kevin MacPhee three-bet from the small blind to 117,000. Gino Gabriel made it 260,000 from the big blind and Vieira folded after which MacPhee moved all in. Gabriel called for 970,000 total and a huge two-million chip pot was created!

The board ran out and MacPhee nearly doubled up as Gabriel hit the rail in 14th place.
The action started on Jonas Lauck who raised under the gun to 50,000 and three players called the raise for some good old four-way action on the flop.
The flop came down and both Ognyan Dimov in the small blind and Lauck checked to Team PokerStars Pro Jake Cody who was seated under the gun plus one. Cody bet 135,000 and Sebastian Pauli folded from the button. Dimov folded as well and Lauck made the call.
The turn was the and Lauck check-called another 247,000 chips before the fell on the river.
Lauck checked and Cody tanked for a few minutes before betting 380,000. Lauck went into the tank for several minutes before ultimately making the call. Cody quickly showed and he took down this huge pot with a rivered flush.
A short-stacked Joao Vieira shoved all in for 120,000 and [Removed:119] called out of the big blind.

The flop came down , giving Bensadoun trip aces and a strong grip on victory in this hand. The hit the turn, filling up Bensadoun and ending Vieira's tournament. The finished off the board and Vieira became the 13th place finisher.
Vieira will collect £27,750 for his run. Bensadoun, on the other hand, is now sitting on 2.567 million in chips.
