The record for most unique entries in this event is 55, coming from Season 9 when Dan Smith won. That year there were 64 total entries after nine reentries.
Already this year there have been 50 unique entries and one reentry, putting things up to 51. With registration and reentry open until the start of Day 2, it looks like this year's event is a favorite to set a new record.
From under the gun, Govert Metaal limped in. Next to act was Ismail Erkenov, and he raised to 7,000. Scott Seiver called in the next seat, and then action folded back to Metaal. He reraised all in for 70,200. After a bit of thought, Erkenov called. Seiver folded.

Simon Ravnsbæk opened under the gun to 5,600, and Olivier Busquet on the button made it 16,000 to go. Both blinds folded, Ravnsbæk made the call.
Ravnsbæk continued to check call 18,000 on

"I have a jack" Busquet said as he showed his

"Oh man! Oh man!" laughed neighbor Doug Polk while eating a wrap. "Ow, there was a flush out there" he said with a more serious voice.
Soon the subject of the conversation switched to the age of some players, with some young ones and older ones. "How old are you?" asked Polk. "I'll be 33 this week" answered Busquet. That's 12 years older than some at the table.

From the cutoff seat, Stephen Chidwick raised to 6,000. Jason Les reraised to 15,000 from the button, and then Ole Schemion made it 29,200 to go from the small blind. After action folded back to Les, he moved all in with a five-bet shove for 103,000. Schemion folded, and Les won the pot.
