Michiel Brummelhuis lost most of his stack in a kings versus aces situation. Nicolas Chouity was the one holding the aces, the EPT Monte Carlo winner plays a stack of just over 500,000 ever since.

Brummelhuis still had some chips left after that, but Ami Barer took those in a blind battle not much later. Brummelhuis had in that hand, and was up against Barer's . The board wasn't doing Brummelhuis any good, and he was out of the tournament. "Ok, that was fun" the former November Nine said with a somewhat sarcastic voice.

Joao Viera Takes Down €1K EPT PLO HI/LO Championships

Joao Viera has beaten a 110-strong field to take down the €1k EPT PLO Hi/Lo Championships at EPT11 Barcelona. The Portuguese pro, who finished eighth in the PCA €25k High Roller in January for $157,940, received €27,500 for last night’s victory. It was his second EPT side event title – he also won a £2k side event at EPT London in Season 9.

Viera, currently 8th in the Portugal all time money list, has topped $400,000 in lifetime tournament winnings. There were 15 players paid from the €106,700 prize pool including British WSOP bracelet winner and EPT Sanremo finalist Barny Boatman, Artem Litvinov, who took part in the final heat of the new PokerStars “Shark Cage” TV show and Norway’s Jan Sjavik.
