Team PokerStars Pro Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier sat down with PokerNews.com to talk about his first ever EPT experience.
Back in 2005, the man known as ElkY, was mostly famous for excelling at Starcraft in South-Korea while trying out online poker on the side. Grospellier got lucky in a satellite for video gamers and all of a sudden he found himself playing EPT Deauville.

Well, it's not really so much up for grabs just yet, as the remaining 176 players will have to battle hard for to even make it to the money, but the prize pool for the event has been released. With 393 total entries, the prize pool generated has come to €3,851,400.
The first-place prize and all other prizes aren't available yet, but we will post them when they become known.
Interesting note is that this €10,300 High Roller from the European Poker Tour Barcelona has a larger prize pool than 64 of the 100 EPT main events ever held.

Saar Wilf has been eliminated from the tournament, we saw him storming off but have no further details.
Shannon Shorr is also out of the tournament. He had queens all in against the tens of German player Gereon Sowa. Shorr hit a set of queens, but Sowa back doored into a flush to eliminate Shorr.
Meanwhile, we just saw Luuk Gieles for the first time this tournament. He bought in for 25 big blinds this morning, but is already up some for the day.
