Mavritsakis Makes Move at the Wrong Time; Erlandsson Continues Heater

The action kicked off with a raise to 60,000 by Panagiotis Mavritsakis with the 8♦8♣ in the cutoff and chip leader Hans Erlandsson called in the big blind with the A♠J♣ to hit top pair on the A♦Q♥10♠ flop.

Erlandsson checked and subsequently called a bet worth 50,000 to then check the Q♠ turn, Mavritsakis checked it back.

The K♠ river brought a bet worth 100,000 by Erlandsson with Broadway and the nut flush blocker. Mavritsakis jammed for 580,000 and Erlandsson snapped him off to score the third elimination of this level on the live stream table.

Jattin Gets Mavritsakis to Fold the Superior Hand

Tom Middleton kickstarted the action from under the gun with a wager of 60,000, holding the K♦8♦. Panagiotis Mavritsakis called in the hijack with the A♦J♦ and so did Farid Jattin in the cutoff with 6♥6♦.

The J♥5♠4♣ flop was all Mavritsakis, who bet 90,000 when checked to. Jattin played one time bank and raised to 240,000 for Middleton to get out of the way. Mavritsakis, hiding some of his face behind a scarf, stared at his table neighbour and reluctantly called.

Jattin picked up equity with the 3♥ turn and Mavritsakis checked to him. The Colombian checked it back to the 9♠ river and Mavritsakis now opted for a bet worth 385,000 for nearly half of his stack.

Jattin took his time before moving all in with the covering stack and sent his table neighbor into a world of pain. Mavritsakis used his last two time bank extensions and studied the body language of Jattin before sigh-folding.

Former EPT Champion Wigg Eliminated by Almeida

Panagiotis Mavritsakis raised to 65,000 in the hijack with the 6♥6♦. Anton Wigg then jammed on the button for 530,000 and Gonzalo Almeida pushed all in over the top. Hans Erlandsson was in the big blind and glanced at all of the stacks in front of him while looking down on 10♥10♦.

Erlandsson went through the emotions again, used one time bank and opted to fold this time. Mavritsakis also let go and the other two players showed their pocket pairs.

After the K♦J♥2♠ flop, Wigg sighed, "that's gonna be tough," and already gathered his belongings. Almeida improved to a full house on the 9♠K♣ runout and Wigg had to settle for 30th place and €30,250, missing out on a shot at a second EPT Main Event title.

Red-Hot Erlandsson Strikes Again and Knocks Out Minasi

In a limped pot to the J♦5♣3♦ flop, Hans Erlandsson checked with the K♦5♦. Alessandro Minasi bet 75,000 with the J♣10♠ only for Erlandsson to check-raise to 225,000.

Minasi wasted little time to move all-in for 980,000 and Erlandsson went through the motions before making the call!

It was a coin flip and Minasi stayed ahead on the 6♠ turn but Erlandsson nailed the K♥ river to earn the second knockout in a row, skyrocketing to the top spot.

Barny Boatman raised to 60,000 with the 7♥5♥ and Omar Lakhdari three-bet to 215,000 in the next seat with the A♦K♠. Gonzalo Almeida tossed the 8♠8♦ in the small blind and Hans Erlandsson then four-bet out of the big blind to 540,000 with just one ace showing.

Boatman folded and Lakhdari then instantly jammed for 1,660,000 - 55 big blinds - to get snapped off my Erlandsson with the A♠A♣!

There was a minor hope on the J♦6♦6♠ flop with back door sixes or diamonds but the 9♥ turn and 10♣ river changed nothing. Erlandsson earned the massive pot and Lakhdari, who had started this streamed table with the most chips, bowed out in 32nd place on a pay jump.

Eric Afriat opened to 65,000 first to act and was called by Farid Jattin on his direct left. Zhongxian Li also defended his big blind.

Li led out for 125,000 on the 8♥3♣2♠ flop and only Jattin called. Li then check-called for 50,000 on the 7♠ turn.

With 275,000 behind, Li checked the A♣ river and Jattin put in enough T-25,000 chips to put Li all-in.

Li wasn't thrilled with the spot but called after counting out his stack.

Jattin tabled 2♦2♥ for a set of deuces, which bested Li's rivered two pair as he flashed his A♠8♦ before heading to the exit.

Duta Shoves Into Afriat's Set in Massive Pot

The flop came Q♣5♦10♦ and Duta continued for 215,000. Afriat then raised to 500,000 and Duta tanked for a moment before announcing he was all in for 1,250,000. Afriat snap-called.

Duta showed down a pair of kings, but he had run right into Afriat's flopped set as the 8♥ turn and 4♠ river secured the massive pot for Afriat and sent Duta crashing out of the tournament.

Arduini and Spencer Move In

Picking up the action on a turn of 5♥7♣3♥6♥ with around 380,000 chips in the pot, Lorenzo Arduini made a bet of 150,000 from the small blind. He received a call from Eliot Hudon under the gun, and a K♠ river was dealt.

Arduini went all in for 535,000 chips, causing Hudon to go into the tank. After a little while passed, he mucked his cards and forfeited the pot to Arduini.

On another table, Lewis Spencer busted after he got his final few blinds in the middle and could not win.
