Ponakovs made the call before he checked again on the 2♥ turn. This time, he faced a bet of 1,500,000 from Boatman and he put in another call. The 6♣ river then finished the board and Boatman sized up to 6,500,000.
A quick call followed from Ponakovs, who saw the bad news at showdown. His top pair was no good against the set of Boatman, and Ponakovs went right back to being the shortest stack after doubling up just one hand before.

Boatman then bet 500,000 on the 3♦ turn and Ponakovs check-called. The J♠ river was checked by both players again and Ponakovs' ace-high won at showdown.
A few hands later, David Kaufmann limped in from the small blind with K♠9♦ and Ponakovs made it 1,200,000 to go with 10♥2♣ from the big blind.
The flop fell Q♠5♠Q♥ and Kaufmann checked to Ponakovs, who made a bet of 600,000. Kaufmann raised to 1,800,000 and Ponakovs quickly folded his hand and forfeited the pot to Kaufmann.
One hand thereafter, Kaufmann raised to 600,000 with K♣Q♦ and took down the pot preflop as both blinds folded their hands.

Aleksejs Ponakovs opened on the button to 875,00 with A♥6♥ and David Kaufmann defended his big blind with the dominating A♦10♠. Kaufmann check-called for 400,000 on the K♦Q♣2♥ flop before the spoils were shared after action checked through to showdown following the 2♦ turn and 4♠ river.
Barney Boatman made it 600,000 from the button with K♥10♥, and Aleksejs Ponakovs called from the big blind with 10♣7♠. Ponakovs check-called for 500,000, bringing in the 7♥ turn. Ponakovs paired up, but Boatman made another flush against the Latvian, who again check-called for 900,000.
The 3♣ river gave the chip leader the checkmark, and he received some extra value as Ponakovs called Boatman's third barrel of 1,500,000.

Boatman Adds More Chips During First Hands

The J♣ turn saw Boatman put 800,000 chips more into the middle, forcing a fold from Kaufmann's bottom pair.
The next hand, Boatman raised 6♣2♣ to 600,000 on the button and Aleksejs Ponakovs defended A♥4♣ in the big blind. Boatman put forth a continuation-bet of 500,000, which Ponakovs check-raised to 1,500,000. Boatman quickly folded and granted the pot to Ponakovs.
One hand later, Ponakovs limped in from the small blind with 10♠4♥ and Boatman checked his Q♦4♦ in the big blind. Ponakovs flopped top pair on 10♥3♠7♦ and bet 400,000 chips. Boatman flicked in a call and the 5♦ turn emerged from the deck.
Ponakovs checked to Boatman, who made a bet of 800,000 with his turned flush draw. Ponakovs called to see the 9♦ river complete the board. Ponakovs checked once more, after which Boatman put in 1,750,000 with his rivered flush.
Ponakovs used four time bank cards before finding a call, but his top pair was heavily outclassed by Boatman's flush and he tossed his cards into the muck.
