Additional Day Decides Second EPT €25,000 Event in Paris

Tamas Adamszki

Saturday’s gruelling 14-hour session at the PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Paris was not enough to crown a champion in the second €25,000 NL Hold’em event of the week, leaving the final three players to battle it out later today at Le Palais des Congrès.

The impressive field of 62 entries eclipsed the total of the first €25,000 event of the series, with an added Day 2 needed to settle this round. Leading the way is Tamas Adamszki, who returns with 2,765,000 chips for 28 big blinds to begin the added session.

Adamszki's remaining challengers are Niklas “Lena900” Astedt and Daniel Dvoress, who has already earned his second cash at EPT Paris.

The total prize pool was set at €1,458,240, and all three players have locked up at least €211,400. The top prize of €444,840 awaits tonight’s champion.

Day 1 saw the field of 62 play into the money, with the top eight securing a share of the prize pool. Johannes Straver was the last player to hit the rail, collecting €160,400 for his fourth-place finish. Action then continued three-handed for another 40 minutes before players bagged for the night.

Mike Watson, Joris Ruijs, Enrico Camosci and Viacheslav Buldygin also made money on Day 1.
