Karoui Among the Early Chip Leaders

Nível 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Marton Czuczor
Marton Czuczor

Moncef Karoui had already chipped up early on and added even more chips after he knocked out Marton Czuczor. There was a minor twist to the story, though, as Karoui needed some time to think on a completed board of 10726J.

The clock was called on him when facing the shove by Czuczor, and Karoui then called with the 107 for two pair. It was good, as Czuczor only had the 99.

"Thank you," Karoui grinned to the player that had the called the clock on him.

Nível 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Sandro Pitzanti raised to 1,200 from an early position and earned two callers in Nicolas Betbese as well as Lukas Hafner out of the big blind. Hafner check-folded the AQ6 flop when Pitzanti continued for 1,800 and Betbese called.

Pitzanti led another 5,500 on the 9 turn to earn a call and both checked the 10 river. The Dutchman showed his AQ for aces and queens to win the pot.

Hani Straightens Teliani Out

Nível 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
William Hani
William Hani

William Hani opened to 1,000 first-to-act and Nohad Teliani shoved for her last 12,000 from the cutoff. Action folded back around to Hani, who called to put Teliani at risk.

Nohad Teliani: 88
William Hani: AQ

The 10J4 flop gave Hani additional outs and the K turn filled Hani's Broadway straight draw to leave Teliani drawing dead.

An irrelevant 5 completed the board and Teliani was eliminated.

Jalba Shows the Bluff

Nível 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Eusebiu Jalba opened to 900 from middle position and was called by Shakhabiddin Muradov in the big blind.

Both players checked on the 2910 flop and Muradov led out for 1,000 on the 3 turn. Jalba called.

Muradov fired 3,000 into the middle after the 9 completed the board and Jalba cut out a raise to 10,500 and placed it into the middle.

Muradov tanked a while and showed the Q as he sent his hand into the muck.

"I was bluffing you," Jalba said as he tabled K9.

"Good bluff," Muradov responded.

Nível 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Four ways to the 1093 flop, Antonio Buonanno bet 1,600 from an early position. Jeremy Benhamou called in the cutoff only for Ildir Haiche to then push all-in for the last 6,800. That forced out one player, Buonanno called and Benhamou folded.

Ildir Haiche: Q10
Antonio Buonanno: J10

The 7 turn gave Buonanno an additional gutshot but it was Haiche who improved with the Q river to lock up his double.
