Fabian Niederreiter was in the big blind and produced a three-bet to 8,500. Nitsche quickly folded, Macdonnell called.
On the J♠J♦3♠ flop action was checked to Niederreiter, who continued with a bet of 5,000, leading to a fold from Macdonnell.
Jacques Der Megreditchian was all-in before the flop for about 20,000, and Davidi Kitai was looking for the knockout.

Action folded around to the blinds, where Jacques Der Megreditchian shoved for his last 9,100 from the small blind. Frederic Normand peeked at his cards from the big blind and quickly stuck in a call to put Der Megreditchian at risk.

The 2♠6♦9♠ flop kept Normand in the lead, but the K♣ turn paired Der Megreditchian's king to vault him into the lead.
The 2♥ river changed nothing and Der Megreditchian doubled his stack.
"Sometimes you just know," Normand added.
Derk Van Luijk raised the buton to 3,000 and Leonardo Rizzo defended his big blind.
The 3♣J♣4♣ flop was checked through.
On the Q♣ turn Rizzo led out for 2,000 and Van Luijk called.
The J♦ river was checked by both players. Van Luijk had A♥Q♥ for a pair of queens and Rizzo had 4♠2♣ for the deuce-high flush.
Maria Konnikova had gotten her stack of 42,800 in the middle against Maxime Chilaud and both of their cards were on their backs.

Konnikova saw she ran into a preflop cooler as she stood up and put her jacket on. "See you guys later," She said still smiling.
However, the K♣K♠7♣ flop changed her attitude, giving her trip kings to take the lead. The 3♥ fell on the turn, and the J♦ on the river to secure the double-up.
"I don't do the stand-up," She laughed. "I was really just going to rebuy."
Byron Kaverman opened to 2,200 from the hijack and was called by Andrija Robovic on the button.
Kaverman check-called a 2,000 bet from Robovic on the 8♠Q♣5♣ flop and a 5,000 bet from Robovic on the Q♠ turn.
Both players checked down on the A♣ river and Kaverman tabled Q♦10♣ for trip queens. Robovic couldn't beat it and mucked — conceding the pot to Kaverman.
Jesse Lonis opened 2,200 in the cutoff, and Derk van Luijk called on the button.
The dealer spread a flop of 8♣3♦3♣, and Lonis continued for 1,800. Van Luijk called.
When the 7♠ rolled off on the turn, Lonis announced a bet of 7,500 as he tossed two chips across the line, and that was enough to earn the pot as Van Luijk mucked.
