Tony G Calls Out Phil Hellmuth | Life Outside Poker Podcast

Life Outside Poker w/ Connor Richards is a new podcast for PokerNews that focuses on poker players with successful careers and lives outside of poker.

For the third episode, Connor spoke with high-stakes poker player, politician and entrepreneur Antanas "Tony G" Guoga. In the interview, Tony G spoke about growing up in Lithuania, founding PokerNews in the early 2000s, getting into European politics later in life and his favorite televised poker moments.

He also opened up about clashing with players like Phil Hellmuth in televised games and even issued a heads-up challenge to the Poker Brat. Will Hellmuth take him on, or is he, like Tony G said, "afraid to ever play me again?"

Bosch continued for 6,000 on the 8♥7♥5♠ flop before Benitez made it 25,000. Only Bosch called.

The A♦ turn checked through the J♥ river, and Benitez folded to a bet of 25,000.

Following an open raise, Michel Karim called, then Christophe Morbee three-bet to 24,000. The original raiser folded and Karim made the call.

The flop came 6♣10♥8♠. Karim checked and Morbee continued for 11,000, which Karim called.

The turn was the 4♠. Karim checked again and Morbee sized up to 35,000. Karim folded and Morbee took down the pot, showing A♠K♠ for a flush draw with overcards.

The action began innocuously enough with Mike Watson raising to 7,000 from the button. Matthias Lipp called in the small blind, and Oliver Bosch then made a three-bet to 28,000, causing Watson to fold but Lipp to call.

On the 5♠K♥6♠ flop, Lipp check-called Bosch's bet of 22,500.

Both players checked through the 6♦ turn.

On the J♥ river, after Lipp checked, Bosch made an 80,000 bet. Lipp opted for just a call with 40,000 behind. Bosch revealed a full house with K♦K♣, prompting Lipp to muck his cards.

Caballo Gets Bigger by Picking Off Bigot's Bluff

Bigot then bet 30,000 from the big blind as Caballo sat back in his seat to consider the decision. He eventually called.

Bigot turned over J♦3♦ for a bluff, while Caballo had 6♦6♠ for a straight as he took the pot to move up around the 600,000 mark.

The river was the 7♣ and Shylko led out for another 34,000. Pineau asked how much Shylko had behind and tanked for a minute before calling.

Shylko turned over J♣9♦ for two pair and Pineau tossed his cards into the muck.

Despite the small loss, Korsakas is in fine shape to cash the Main Event as he has an above-average stack, with the tournament being 14 players away from the money.
