Dmitrii Prusov had just fired his second bullet when he bet 3,000 under the gun in a four-way pot on a flop of 1065. Luc Lafontaine then raised to 12,500 in the cutoff and Prusov moved all in for 24,500.

Lafontaine tanked for more than a minute until he called to put Prusov at risk.

Prusov had picked up aces and was a favorite to double up, but Lafontaine spiked the 10 on the turn to make trips.

"One outer," [Removed:467], who had folded on the flop, said. The river was the 4 and Lafontaine won the pot to send Prusov to the rail again.

"I got lucky. Sometimes you need that," Lafontaine said.

Hadioglu Heads to Exit as Ace-King Cracked

Barsegyan was initially behind and dominated by Hadioglu's Big Slick. However, the board ran out 37Q24, giving Barsegyan a pair of queens on the flop. Barsegyan's hand held and Hadioglu was eliminated from the tournament.

With the pot already totaling around 14,000, Adi Rajkovic bet 11,500 from middle position on the 3JA3 board, prompting John Duthie to call from the cutoff.

On the river 4, Rajkovic swiftly followed up with a hefty bet of 30,000, effectively putting Duthie all in with just 18,800 left. Duthie opted to call, revealing AK for two pair, aces and threes. However, Rajkovic turned over AJ for top two pair and sealing Duthie's elimination from the hand.

Perez Flops the Nuts in Five-Way Pot

Five players saw a flop of 879 where Jason Rocha bet 2,200 from the hijack. Francisco Perez then raised to 9,000 in the small blind.

Luke Appleton tanked for a minute before folding under the gun, while Sylwester Fortuna also folded in middle position as action went back on Rocha who moved all in. Perez snap-called for 20,000.

Appleton shot out of his seat and pumped his fist after seeing Perez's flopped straight. Rocha was on a flush draw but missed the 2 turn and 2 river as Perez doubled up.

Appleton then admitted he folded two kings. "Not the best flop for kings, especially with five players," Perez told him.

David Santana was all in for around 20,000 from the hijack and up against Edoardo Dellisola in the big blind.

Santana had run into aces and was at risk of elimination as the flop came J33. The turn, though, was the Q and Santana hit his two-outer to make a full house.

His hope of survival was short-lived, as the A fell on the river to give Dellisola a bigger full house and send Santana to the rail.

Saliba Gets Early Christmas Gift From Vandyshev

Aleksei Vandyshev raised to 1,200 on the button and Hossein Ensan called in the small blind. Vivian Saliba then moved all in for 5,400 in the big blind and both opponents called.

All three players checked down the AQ924 board and Saliba showed AQ for two pair. Vandyshev mucked J6, while Ensan flashed J10 before he also mucked.

"Something personal?" Saliba said to Vandyshev.

"It was a gift," Vandyshev replied.

"Merry Christmas," Ensan added.
