Putz Withstands Pressure; Smith Draws Closer to Cowen

On a nearby table, Dan Smith opened to 9,000 from middle position and Robert Cowen called from his big blind.

Smith, who was slightly covered by Cowen, asked the Englishman if he had more than him, which was confirmed.

Smith then drew closer to Cowen after the latter check-folded to a bet of 13,000 on the 7♥5♠4♥ flop.
