Gus Hansen busted just before the break, and a player provided PokerNews with a recap of the hand:
Everybody folded to Hansen in the small blind, who raised to 4,000. Niclas Thumm called from the big blind.
Both players checked through the 7xQxJx flop.
The 3♠ turn prompted Hansen to bet 4,000 and Thumm raised to 18,000. Hansen went all in and Thumm called.

With top pair, better kicker, Hansen was ahead until the turn. With two pair, queens and treys, Thumm had taken the lead, and the 9♣ on the river didn't change anything. Thumm, a finalist at the 2023 PSPC Bahamas, eliminated Hansen from the tournament.
