Thorel Doubles Through Watson
Nível 17
: Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Action folded to Mike Watson in the small blind, who moved all in for around 740,000.
Jean-Noel Thorel was in the big blind and was covered by Watson. He asked for a count and made the call.
Jean-Noel Thorel: A♦5♦
Mike Watson: 5♠5♣
Watson was in good shape versus only one overcard, but the A♥3♦8♠ flop put Thorel into the lead with a pair of aces, and he did not relinquish it on the 6♠ turn and 4♦ river.
