The highly anticipated €10,200 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed event makes its debut today at the 2024 European Poker Tour, held at the iconic Casino Barcelona.
Kicking off at 4 p.m., this inaugural event promises fast and furious action. Players start off with a 30,000 stack and 15-minute blinds designed to keep the pace electric. Plenty of well-known players are expected to take their seats, adding to the excitement and elevating the level of competition on the felt.
Blinds will begin at 100/200 with a big blind ante of 200, giving each player 150 big blinds to start. Unlimited reentries are permitted until the end of registration. Shot clocks will be in play from the start, with players given 15 seconds for their first decision, followed by 30 seconds for each subsequent action in a hand.
Players will receive four time bank cards when they take their seats, offering them extra thinking time as needed. They will also be awarded one additional time bank card at the start of levels 5, 9, 13, 17, 21, 25, and 29, ensuring strategic flexibility throughout the day.

The first hand of the day was shuffled and pitched when Alejandro Lococo opened 600 and Jules Dickerson three-bet 2,000 on the button. Juha Helppi four-bet to 7,100 in the small blind and only Dickerson made the call.
When the K♦J♦9♥ flop hit the felt, Helppi continued for 6,000. Dickerson mucked his hand.

On the Q♦7♥5♥ flop, action checked to Dickerson who bet 700. Korzinin called and Lococo came in with a check-raise to 3,400.
Both opponents folded to send the pot to the PokerStars Ambassador.
Meanwhile, Erik Seidel and Alexander Ivarsson have joined the field, bumping it up to seven entries.

Alexander Ivarsson opened 800 under the gun and Vladimir Korzinin called in the hijack before Erik Seidel defended the big blind.
The dealer spread a flop of 3♦2♦2♣, and once checked to, Ivarsson continued for 1,000. Only Korzinin made the call.
When the J♠ fell on the turn, Ivarsson check-called a bet of 1,300 from Korzinin.
The Q♠ completed the board on the river and both players knuckled the table. Ivarsson rolled A♦4♦ for ace-high, missing his straight flush draw and Korzinin mucked his hand.

Alejandro Lococo checked his big blind, Dickerson checked, Erik Seidel checked the hijack, and Juha Helppi opened the flop betting, placing forward 1,800.
Lococo folded, but Dickerson check-raised to 5,800. Seidel then also folded and after a brief moment, Helppi mucked as well to send the pot to Dickerson.
Meanwhile, Frank Lagodich has joined the field, bumping it to nine entries.
