Wuttke Beats the Board

Nível 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Sebastian Ulmer opened to 1,100 from under the gun and was called by Eduardo Dubischar from one seat over. Marcus Wuttke then defended his big blind after the action folded around to him.

Ulmer continued for 2,200 on the QQ5 flop, and Wuttke was the only caller. The 5 turn then double paired the board and action checked through to the full house completing Q river.

Wuttke checked, and Ulmer considered his options before checking through to showdown.

Wuttke had the board pipped with his 66 for queens full of sixes, and Ulmer mucked his hand.

Gaonach Fires Three Streets

Nível 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

The action was caught on a flop of 833 with Patrick Gaonach having bet 2,500 into Gaspar Omar Fernandez. Fernandez called and they headed to the flop.

The Q turn saw Fernandez call a bet of 4,500 from Gaonach.

Gaonach fired out a bet of 13,000 when the 10 appeared on the river. Fernandez thought it over briefly before folding his hand. Gaonach showed the 8 as he pulled in the pot.

Stroemberg Triples Up

Nível 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Nils Stroemberg was all-in for his last 3,600 with Bert Van Doesburg making the call. There was also another caller, so Doesburg had the chance to triple up.

Nils Stroemberg: KJ All in
Bert Van Doesburg: AK

The runout of K28J2 improved Stroemberg to two pair for the winner, earning him a much-needed triple up and a lifeline in this event.

It's official. After its return in 2023 following a 12-year hiatus, PokerStars has confirmed that The Big Game on Tour is back again this year, with more episodes to be filmed at the NAPT Las Vegas festival.

Ten episodes of the show were filmed last year, with the likes of Phil Hellmuth, Maria Ho, Lex Veldhuis and Sam Grafton all taking part. The show features a lucky Loose Cannon who receives $50,000 and has to survive 150 hands playing $50/$100 with a table of poker pros, ambassadors, and celebrities.

PokerNews spoke with Big Game on Tour judge and commentator James Hartigan ahead of the show's return, and he says he's thrilled the show is back.

Astarita Put in the Blender

Nível 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante
Giulio Astarita
Giulio Astarita

Giulio Astarita three-bet to 2,200 from the small blind over an open and then Angelos Valilis four-bet to 6,500 from the big blind. The original raiser folded while Astarita stuck around.

Astarita check-called for 6,500 on the KQ5 flop, bringing in the 5 turn. Astarita then led out for 8,500 but was quickly sent into the tank after Valilis jammed for 21,400.

Astarita tried talking to Valilis to get some information, but the latter remained stoic during the brief interrogation.

"There's only one single hand I'm afraid of," said Astarita as he continued to think over his options.

"Fold," he audibly declared and Valilis quickly mucked his hand before taking in the pot.
