Geilich Catches Lightning to Double Through Zaskodny
Nível 16
: Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Fikri Basaran opened to 11,500 from the cutoff and Lukas Zaskodny three-bet to 35,000 from the small blind. Ludovic Geilich shoved for 78,000 total from the big blind, which got a fold from Basaran, but a snap-call from Zaskodny.
Ludovic Geilich: A♥J♦
Lukas Zaskodny: A♠A♦
It was the worst-possible scenario for Geilich, who would need some serious help to avoid elimination.
The Q♠10♠6♥ flop offered a glimmer of hope to Geilich as he picked up a gutshot draw to Broadway.
The 5♥ turn was a brick, but the K♠ river filled Geilich's draw to crack Zaskodny's aces for the dramatic double up.
