The turn and river landed the 9♦ and J♦ respectively. Calamusa's set was more than enough to send El Asmar to the rail.
Simon Brandstrom raised to 900 from the cutoff before Pieter Siemund put in 2,500 chips from the button. The blinds folded, but Brandstrom made the call.
The Q♣8♦Q♥ flop saw Brandstrom check-call a 1,700 continuation-bet from Siemund, while the subsequent 2♠ turn was checked by both players.
On the 9♠ river, Brandstrom checked once more and Siemund flicked in a T-5,000 chip for a bet of the same amount.
Brandstrom made a quick call but mucked his cards once he saw the A♠A♥ that his opponent tabled.
Rory Jennings opened 800 in the cutoff, and both Antoine Labat on the button and Hady El Asmar in the big blind made the call.

Olivier Paris, in the small blind, checked the action to Ladislao Dalfo Batlle, in early position. Batlle bet out 1,300, Tiziano Di Romualdo called to his direct left, as did Paris.
The K♥ river saw Paris check again. Batlle bet out 3,000, Di Romualdo called and Paris folded.
The J♣ river saw Batlle fire once more, this time for 4,200, prompting Di Romualdo to fold. As he raked in the pot, Batlle tabled A♥8♦.

On one of those tables, Alexandre Landron raised to 1,000 from the hijack and got called by William Kassouf in the cutoff. Agostino Scozzari then made it 3,800 to go from the button and both players came along.
