The 2♠ fell on the turn, and Xanthopoulos fired another shell of 225,000. Kasper went into the tank for some time before pitching his cards into the muck.

The following hand, Xanthopoulos opened 160,000 on the button, and Gab Yong Kim asked if Xanthopoulos had about 4,000,000 behind, and Xanthopoulos replied yes. Then Kim put in a three-bet to 575,000 which was enough to earn the pot.

Xanthopoulos Flops a Straight But It's No Good

Pavlos Xanthopoulos opened 200,000 in the cutoff and Ioannis Oikonomidis defended the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of 9♦8♣7♠, and Oikonomidis check-called a bet of 150,000 from Xanthopoulos.

The Q♣ fell on the turn, and Oikonomidis checked once more before he was faced with a bet of 425,000. He made the call once again.

When the 6♥ landed on the river, Oikonomidis checked and Xanthopoulos took about 35 seconds before tossing in a bet of 400,000, and Oikonomidis snap-called.

Xanthopoulos tabled 6♣5♣, which was a flopped nine-high straight, but Oikonomidis rivered a ten-high straight with Q♥10♠.
