Juan Pardo on the Hunt for Sixth EPT Title in the €10,300 EPT High Roller

Juan Pardo

The PokerStars European Poker Tour continues today at the Hilton Prague as Event #52: €10,300 EPT High Roller plays to its conclusion. The event is scheduled to kick off at 12 p.m. local time as the final 24 players get whittled down to a champion, each playing for their share of the €2,328,000 prize pool.

Entering Day 3 with the overall chip lead is Juan Pardo, who managed to accumulate 1,350,000 by the conclusion of play last night. Pardo already has a more than impressive sum of $9,623,392 in live tournament earnings but is looking to add an additional €491,950 with a win today. If Pardo manages to convert his chip lead into a trophy, it will be his sixth EPT win on the circuit and his second win this year, after taking down the $50,000 EPT Super High Roller event in Cyprus just two months ago.

Pardo’s path to victory isn’t clear, as both Tobias Peters and Salih Atac are following closely behind with stacks of 1,120,000 and 1,105,000 respectively; the only other players to eclipse a stack of seven-figures.

Amongst the finalists, Antoine Saout also remains in contention with 275,000. After finishing second in last year's EPT Prague Main Event, Saout will certainly be looking to improve upon his previous finish as he attempts to claim a career-first PokerStars shard.

The tournament will recommence on Level 11 with blinds at 2,000/5,000 with a 5,000 big blind ante. Players will play through hour-long levels until a winner is crowned.

Stay tuned to PokerNews as our live reporting team follows all the action throughout the day as we wrap up here at EPT Prague.
